The new split closing/opening is ridiculous. What won't these networks do for more commercial/promo time?

Scoobiedoo30 01-04-2007, 01:41 PM I have not notice The New TBS split Closeing/opening robyrob 01-04-2007, 02:18 PM its horrible, and on some shows - like the new sitcom MyBoys, they show two episodes back-to-back with the opening sequence ONLY for the first episode, and then they COMBINE the credits for both episodes at the end of the 2nd ep (while showing it in the split-screen, of course) Scoobiedoo30 01-04-2007, 02:20 PM I watched Home Improvement and they did not show The Closeing/Opening Heckles101 01-07-2007, 05:18 AM I saw it the other day when I was watching Saved by the Bell so they must do it intermittently. What I don't get is that I thought this was done for more commercials but Dawson's Creek started at 8:58 so when do they show these extra commercials so shows start back on the hour? friendsfan77 01-07-2007, 10:44 AM IMO it's one of the tackiest, ugliest form of graphics on a television station I've ever seen. MLBonTBS 01-07-2007, 11:49 PM Is this where they "push up" the opening sequence of the next show? If so, then they've been doing that for awhile, and TNT does it also. MLBonTBS 01-16-2007, 03:02 PM I saw it for the first time today, and wow I see what you're talking about. So distracting to have two different pictures on the screen. puertaazul 01-16-2007, 07:51 PM It's a little annoying. Scoobiedoo30 01-17-2007, 12:08 AM I wonder why The opening/closeing looked The same to me TKMetal 01-17-2007, 05:03 AM They aren't using it on Home Improvement. That is one of the only exceptions along with movies and yes, they had been using a variation on primetime/late night shows like Friends, Seinfield, Family Guy, My Boys and "10 Items" for sometime, but only just started doing it during other programming the first week of January. FOLrocks1 01-17-2007, 10:20 AM It's like what Liftime is doing now, too. I hate it. MLBonTBS 01-20-2007, 01:14 PM Just saw it during a movie on Saturday Morning - it's crazy - they're showing the beginning of a movie while the credits for the last movie are still running! |
