for the 9th straight time

notre dame has lost a bowl game in which they had no business being involved in

proving once again, they get over ranked every year without merit

since 1-1-94

notre dame is 0-9 in bowl games

and get this, getting smoked by an average of 17.66 points per game

0-16 against teams that finished in the top 10 ap poll

in this same exact period

wisconsin has been in 12 bowl games

8 of the games were on new years day

and has won 9 of them

3 rose bowls 94 99 2000

2 capitol one bowls 06 07

hall of fame 95

alamo 02

copper 96

sunbowl 01

and yet the badgers gets 1 % of the respect and press of the irish

plus our fans travel as good as anyone

and dont give me the old bs story about notre dame alumni

seeing how wisconsin has at least 4 times the alumni as notre dame

since notre dame has 10125 students and wisconsin has over 4 times that many with 41400

I have the unpleasantness of living 10 miles from the ND campus, so last night was fun to watch. That'll shut 'em up....for awhile.

Notre Dame is very very overrated, but their name alone gets them to a big time bowl game almost every year

They may be overrated, but I'll take their coach any day of the week over Tom Coughlin.

very true

buehler

anyone

without a media center nearby, i am at a loss to explain it

even in chicago, its wisconsin over illionis or notre dame

the alumni association of wisconsin just flat out has a ton of members from chicago

even at a wis at northwestern game, the fans are 70 plus % in bucky red

When Wisconsin gets a national TV deal with NBC, then come talk to me.

Notre Dame has the history on it's side, 11 National Championships, 7 Heisman winners, numerous All-Americans and I believe is still the school that's sent the most players into the NFL. Notre Dame is tradition. They have that mystique still

If someone asks a stranger on the street, what's the first thing that comes to mind if I say Notre Dame - 9/10 people would say football.

But, are they over-rated? Hell yeah !

throughout history

the nat champ was a vote

thus notre dame got many for whatever reason, but didnt deserve them

same with heisman, many times its a popularity award, and the best players dont get it

so thats why notre dame has many of those awards, the same way they get all the rankings for the last 15 seasons

with smoke and mirrors

in the last 15 years, notre dame isnt even in the top 15 in players in the nfl

and yes ill stack up wisconsin with notre dames nfl players any day

all i can say is the guy who writes the sports checks at nbc, must have schooled in the south bend area, theres no reason to pay them anything for their games

yes numerous seasons ago, it may have been an epic event to have the irish every week

but thats long ago
