no matter what happens

this year the bcs failed

they allowed boise, notre dame, louisville and wake into the elite 5 bowls

none of these had any business there at all

and none could finish any more than even in the big ten or the sec

given the pounding of a big time schedule

Final numbers are not in yet but the Rose Bowl did very well and despite the great game the Fiesta Bowl was down from last year.

did the Rose Bowl Run overtime because I put my TV on at 7:45 pm Central Time and The Rose Boal was still on

Boise State won, so I think they proved they deserved to be there.
They were undefeated after all.

May I inquire as to why, Shark?

(I will not be watching, by the way.)

incorrect

you need to read my comment

i said none could withstand the pounding in a big ten or sec schedule

beating oklahoma is no big deal

and boise having played no one all year

isnt beat up at all

come to the big ten and get yer asssssssssss pounded

and get down to your 3rd, 4th and 5th string players like what happens in a hard hitting big time conference

two years ago wisconsin needed to go to iowa and win the last game, for a rose bowl berth

iowa started their 6th string runing back, wisconsin started their 5th string running back

then calling a win against oklahoma is a joke as well

talk about zero defense-------------------

the 6th place team in the big ten, iowa

had a 2-6 big ten record

and the only lost by two to a texas team who almost played for the national title

the entireok, texas , nebraska conference is going through a down cycle

Live games almost always run long.

Fair enough, so who would you put in those 4 slots?

Just because college football is relatively new to them.
And I'm not familiar with their announcers and such.

It is showing, too. Fox's coverage so far has been way down from last year's games, especially the Orange Bowl.

Fair enough, so who would you put in those 4 slots?

i would like to see a playoff first of all

say 8 teams

but if we are keeping the current system

then i want to see the 10 best teams in the 5 bcs games

the top two play for the championship

the other 8 are put into a hat and drawn out to play each other

BUT -- no one gets to play at home

so no lsu in new orleans

ni usc in pasedena

no miami at the orange bowl

no home advantage

usc and ucla have enjoyed that forever in the rose bowl

and also remove the lame assed rule where only two from a conference get a bcs game

there could certainly be made a case that florida--lsu--arkansas--and auburn, were top 10 teams this year

just was ohio state--michigan--wisconsin are certainly top 6 teams

to not allow three of these programs to get a deserved bcs bowl, is just plain robbery

and then also get rid of the special notre dame rule, that allows an automatic bid if they beat army, navy, airforce and the deaf dumb and blind girl scouts and they get in

if boise and the rest want to break into the class of big boy football

petition to get into the pac 10

until then, play junior varsity and shut up
