this is GREAT news!!!

dont like the double-sided disks, but judging by the amount on them at least they arent double layer as well (the ones that typically have the most problems)

Has there been any mention of music subsitutions?

Not in that article, but there might've been talk of it over at the HTF.

Was the turkey episode in the first season? It was so funny, can't wait to
get the DVD.

Yes it was. It was episode seven to be exact. A great season in general.

Finally! Let's hope they publish the other three seasons as well and soon.

I looked at the listing on http://tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=6770 and something just didn't look right. At the risk of splitting hairs, I referenced it against the episode guide in the back of America's Favorite Radio Station, WKRP in Cincinnati by Michael B. Kassel (Great book, by the way, if you can get your hands on a copy). It lists all the episodes of all four seasons in order. The listing on the TV Shows on DVD site does not match up to the book, so I'm tempted to wonder if this will have an affect on the "flow" of the shows. This is to say that if I watch the DVDs one after the other, will the story line seem out of order (e.g.-A reference to Johnny's departure and return before the "Goodbye Johnny" episode).

With 561 minutes on disk divided by 22 episodes (25.5 minutes per episode), it sounds like they have put back in all the bits they chopped out to make way for more commercials on TV Land. A wise move considering they couldn't put all the original music back in.

In any case, I plan on buying the DVD set as soon as it is released. I'm also really looking forward to the bonus features.

That order is the order in which they aired.

The last episode "Preacher" was actually the 3rd episode produced and you can tell by the feel of it that it was an early one, but it does not interfere with the timeline. Les and Herb are not in the episode, as at that point they were not sure of the frequency of their use.

TVShowsonDVD just posted that WKRP will now be released on April 24, instead of April 3.

Yay! This is great news. I saw Loni Anderson in some interview a couple of years back, and she said if WKRP ever came to DVD she'd be happy to do a commentary track or a bonus feature interview. Let's hope TPTB take her up on this.

Also, is the Del's Stereo episode from Season 1? What a treat...that and the turkey episode on this same set!!! :happyface  :D
