You are certainly not a snob. You're one on of the awesomest people on this board.

Yeah currently I started working at a new job, and everyone has been nice except this one lady, who from day one has given me nothing but dirty looks and will not speak to me when I say good morning or try to start a conversation with her.

But I think in your situation, this guy is attracted to you and for some reason is acting like an immature school kid.

Maybe he's jealous of you or something.

I went to school with a girl like that in 7th grade. I never did a thing to this girl (I always tried to be nice to people...I was terrible shy back then so I barely ever talked to her), but for some reason, she hated my guts. She'd always give me dirty looks and she probably talked about me behind my back too. I was so glad she moved in 8th grade. I couldn't have stood another year with that bitch.

About ten years ago, my roommate had a girlfriend who I later learned couldn't stand me.
As far as I can remember, I was always nice to her.
I guess she hated me becasue I had just moved in with my friend so maybe she felt i was going to vie with her for time with her boyfriend.
Luckily they broke up about a year later. She wasn't a nice person, as my roomie found out.

Yeah, I've met people who have hated me for no reason at all. I remember in high school that there was this girl who hated me even though I had never done anyhing to her.

Yes, there are people who hate me for no reason. Or worse, hate me because they think I am someone I'm not. Before judging me, people should get to know me. and I feel that's the same as your situation, Tara. If the man has a false image of you in his mind, it's his problem. But if he got to know you, he'd see how wrong he is. :)

Or he likes you. That could be another possibility.

I think he behaved very rudely to you, Tara. And don't worry, you certainly don't sound like a snob to me. :)

When I was in about Year Five (I was 9 years old) I was sitting at a table in school, eating lunch, and a couple of other girls were sitting there. One of them asked the other girl who I was and if she liked me, and the girl said she didn't like me. I'd never spoken to her or had anything to do with her before that day (apart from seeing each other around school) so I've no idea why she didn't like me. I told my Mum when I got home, and she told me that sometimes, there are people who just don't like you, for no reason.

Yeah, this guy sounds like he has some major self-esteem problems. If he's jealous or insecure, then that's his problem. You are not a snob or anything. He's just stupid.

I don't know if anyone has acted like this towards me. They never really approached me. People tend to act like distant towards me in a silent manner. I don't know if that's worse or better than actually being told something. :(
