The Jack Tripper character song this line TWICE during the 1980 eras. By the 1960's Group-THE BEACH BOYS" "WERE GOING TO HAVE FUN FUN FUN"

He sung that line in the season 6 ep-"Up in the Air"

He also sung that line in episode 10 of Three's a Crowd

BTW: N@N cut the part out with Jack singing the song by the Beach Boys

I remember hearing him sing "and we'll have fun, fun, fun" in the Nick at Nite version. Janet elbowed him right after he said the last "fun".

It wasn't on the N@N or TV LAND version, only the TBS version.

I recorded that episode from Nick at Nite and that scene is there.

Check it and see if it' TBS because I remember when I watched the TBS version of UPIN THE AIR, that was one of the Differences I noticed between the N@N version and TBS version

It's not the TBS version. I never recorded "Three's Company" on that channel. I only recorded the show from Nick at Nite, TV Land and TNN--which were all the same version.

I know that it is shown on the N@N version. I also recorded it and I am 100%positive that it is on there.

I don't remember seeing Jimi Hendrix.

It was Elton John he had a poster of at one time.
As for the Beach Boys, they were considered, for a time, the "American Beatles" and we all know that John loved the Beatles, so naturally I think he would appreciate the Beach Boys.;)

No, it definitely is by the Beach Boys. It's also from 1964.
John was born in 1948, so he "grew up" with the Beach Boys, along with the Beatles.

I think I read an interview someplace where he loved the Beatles and Beach Boys, so it's only natural that the writers would put that into Jack's character.

Jack Tripper had excellent taste in music if he was a Beach Boys fan!

I know that John was a HUGE Beatles fan, but I'm not sure about The Beach Boys. He also sang some Franki Valli and the Four Seasons songs on TC, I don't think it really means anything.

Just glad Anchor Bay didn't cut that out because he was singing a pop song and they'd have to pay a liscensing fee.
