Why the heck did he ask Carl to take him first instead of his older brother? JJ had every right to be hurt.

View Full Version : Michael was really stupid asking Carl to take him to the dinner! Brian Damage 12-30-2006, 12:15 PM Why the heck did he ask Carl to take him first instead of his older brother? Because he didn't take J.J seriously in that Kind of way. Carl on the otherhand was older and he had a lot more respect for Carl and took him more Serriously. I don't think he should have asked J.J anyway because J.J was not that much older than him. It wouldn't make sense to ask a Older Brother, probably a UNCLE but not a Brother. They were only 5 or 6 years apart Brian Damage 12-30-2006, 01:56 PM Because he didn't take J.J seriously in that Kind of way. JJ is family and Carl is a stranger. That was wrong of Michael. TVFactFan 12-30-2006, 02:00 PM I really don't think age has anything to do with anything. JJ is family and Carl is a stranger. That was wrong of Michael. I still think J.J was not old enough, yes he was family but not old enough to be taken seriously as a Father Figure-lol Ireneparalegal 12-30-2006, 02:01 PM I agree Brian. My mother died when I was 6 and from that point on, my older sister was also my mother. I didn't like that she was (rebellion) but as I grew older, I was glad to have her be my "mother" as well as my sister. Age has nothing to do with it. When mother's day came around, I gave my sister cards, gifts, etc., I still do. Michael should have asked J.J. first. TVFactFan 12-30-2006, 02:04 PM Michael looked at J.J as a clown and that's why he asked Carl because he started liking him a lot. In his eyes j.j was just-"A GOOFY OLDER BROTHER" Ireneparalegal 12-30-2006, 02:08 PM Michael looked at J.J as a clown and that's why he asked Carl because he started liking him a lot. In his eyes j.j was just-"A GOOFY OLDER BROTHER" True, but we are not saying how Michael looked at J.J., we are saying, WHAT IS RIGHT, what should have been done. TVFactFan 12-30-2006, 02:10 PM True, but we are not saying how Michael looked at J.J., we are saying, WHAT IS RIGHT, what should have been done. But that's the answer to the Queston of why he didn't ask him-lol I know he should have but that's why he didn't Brian Damage 12-30-2006, 02:33 PM True, but we are not saying how Michael looked at J.J., we are saying, WHAT IS RIGHT, what should have been done. I agree, most of the time when a father dies, the eldest son takes on that roll. So I think that Michael should have been considerate and asked JJ first. Just because he didn't think JJ wanted to go, shouldn't have made a difference, being asked and thought of is always nice. catlover79 09-02-2007, 08:47 PM I agree, most of the time when a father dies, the eldest son takes on that roll. I would've been hurt too had I been in his shoes! :( TVFactFan 09-02-2007, 09:32 PM :yeahthat Exactly. I felt so bad for JJ. I could see if Carl married Flo by that point, but he wasn't. hatwink 09-06-2007, 09:13 AM Michael connected in a way with Carl that he didn't with J.J, so he asked him first. |
