hey i been wondering on jeffersons howcome it took mr whitendle so long to show up on the jeffersons he showed up once 3rd season he was metioned before but never seen does anyone know why

Don't know- he first appears in Florence's Union in the later part of season 4- earlier that season they had George and Whitty where the Jeffersons meet his brother and think that it's him. Whittendale seemed to be originally in the tradition of characters who were referred to but never shown and it would've been fine with me if they kept it that way- I don't know why they chose to hire someone to embody the part all of a sudden. He makes most of his appearances in the last couple of seasons after some of the regular actors had left the show so I guess they kept him on to make up for the lack of regular actors.

yeah and then have him show up every once in while and then have him played by another actor shows do wierd stuff now and days with charactors never seen r heard just metioned i kind agree with u it would been better if it was kept that way to keep people wondering just who whitty was and stuff like that.i kind enjoyed george trying meet him but fails u know they dont like each other which was also funny not sure why he did not like george considerig they never met.but oh well
