I went to a high school that basically looked like a jail. It was built in 1992... no excuse for the time period kind of thing. I forgive the 1970s but not the 1990s. I have pictures of it...have to go look, though.

I took these back in 2004 (I graduated in 2003) and haven't been back to visit since then, so I don't know if it's changed since then.

And I'm not kidding when I say my HS was like a jail, you didn't even HAVE the option to open any windows. And the windows were far and between.

Interesting. I thought you had a system more like we did. In Poland there is szkoła podstawówka (kindergarten - 6th grade), then gimnazjum (7, 8, 9) and liceum. (10, 11, 12) And then if you want to continue, Uniwersytet.

Things were a little different in the late 1980's, Czas na Zywiec. Schools were numbered, and Grades were seperated in buildings. Ages 5-8 were in one building. Ages 9-12 were in another part, ages 13-16 were in another area. All in the same school. 17 years old you could go to University or Military training.

When I got married, we had 2 weddings. A Catholic wedding in Gander, Newfoundland, and the other in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

At the Newfoundland wedding, one of my inlaws (My husband's Great-Uncle) told some old legendary Maritime ghost stories to a few of my Russian nieces and nephews. I have to admit they were fascinated by his scary Newfie accent. :lol:
