What's wrong with the dysfunctional ones? The set I have came from the person who put it together, and I have to admit I haven't watched it all the way through to find any problems with it.

Apparently one of the discs does not play - disc 3 I believe. I have not actually ever had a set myself, all prospective traders having checked theirs first and finding them lacking.
