Unless I'm badly mistaken,why are there no complete commercial season sets of this show?What's the story?

VIACOM, who controls the rights to [and owns] the series, believes (as is their attitude towards "THE LUCY SHOW") that there's "no market" for a "BEVERLY HILLBILLIES" box set, as yet. They're not about to "waste" all that effort and money to market a TV show on DVD that just doesn't seem to be "in demand". This is THEIR opinion, not mine. "THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW" is another story, as their TV LAND channel continously repeats it every day, and they KNOW there's an "audience" for that. Complain to them!
