Hi everyone, I'd appreciate it if you read this over, even though it's a bit depressing.

I found out about a week ago that a guy I knew from school lost his mother in November. He's only 18 (he turns 19 in a few days, I think.)

Well, I met some people at a pub last night - Lauren, Siobhan, Gary H, and Gary I. Gary I is the one who lost his mother. Anyway, he's going through a rough time right now - apart from the loss of his mother, which is bad enough, there's something else going on which is upsetting him and he's having a bad time. While we were there, a girl came over, and asked him about his mother (because she'd only found out that evening) and Gary was talking about it, about how he found out, and everything. That went on for a while, and then he stopped talking, and I looked over, and he was crying. He'd stopped by the time I left, but for a while, he was just sitting there crying.

Anyway, I'd just like to ask people here if they would either say a prayer for him, or, if you're not religious, to send good thoughts his way. (I believe that sending good, positive thoughts somone's way can help them.) I feel really sorry for him. So if people here could either pray for him or send good thoughts his way, I'd appreciate it.

I'm so sorry Gary has to go through this. It's never easy losing a mother. Gary will be in my prayers.

Poor thing. It's so hard losing a parent, especially if you are close. I'll send some good vibes across the pond. :) Hope he feels a little better soon.

Thanks, everyone. :) I've asked the same thing at some other message boards I visit, because I felt really sorry for him, especially on Christmas Eve.

He's a good person, too. Even though I don't know him enormously well, he's got a good head on his shoulders, a good work ethic, and a good attitude in general.

I will say a prayer for him and think about him, hoping him courage and bravery to make it through this tough time!
