Kazza 12-23-2006, 09:45 PM I don't go to the store unless I really have to; especially during this time of the year.
HATE finding parking space, walking a million miles to enter the store, the pulling, pushing and tugging. The crying children, the indecisive people that take forever to pick something, the people that don't know wtf are they looking for, the long lines on the checkout, the trouble to find my car, the pedestrians that walk right past my moving vehicle thinking they are unbreakable, the traffic jam, the tempers flaring...
ARE THOSE GOOD ENOUGH?
I feel better thanks! :)

Brad Russ 12-23-2006, 10:03 PM I hate being in the mall!! The only time in my life that I ever wished I could be Michael Jackson, was when they'd close down the mall for him, and let him shop ALONE!! I hate the crowds, and all the --- well, I won't go there, but yeah, It's pretty safe to say that I hate the mall!! Get the people out, and I'd love it.

This time of year I would be shocked to see if anyone replies they actually enjoying shopping when the malls are this full. I would rather schedule a root canal than go into a mall right now. I like to get me Christmas shopping done by the first week of Dec and then get any last minute things before the 15th.
What is even more crazy is teh people who will start lining up after Christmas dinner to be first in line for the Boxing Day sales.

I HATE going shopping anywhere during this time of year 'cause my agorophobia kicks into super high gear...but I went shopping with a friend yesterday (albeit not at the mall), and I actually had a good time!
Chelsea 12-23-2006, 11:05 PM Being in a mall doesn't bother me per se, it's just not something I especially enjoy. Generally I'm a get in, stop and share at the shiny electronics, get out type shopper - so malls aren't especially my favorite stores. Still, if one has something I need to get ahold of in a jiffy, I have no problems going to one.
Now, my friend on the other hand absolutely HATES them and has to be coaxed to go near one
Jo_Luvs_Ketchup 12-23-2006, 11:29 PM I hate it too. I'm not a shopping kind of girl. My mom buys my clothes, I wear them, period end of story. :)
AllIWantIsYourClutch 12-24-2006, 01:21 AM I went on Friday and kind of wanted to kill myself. It was unbelievably crowded and I swear I ran into 20 people that I knew, which is never enjoyable. Plus, traffic was a nightmare and people suck in general.
EmoJoe 12-24-2006, 01:22 AM i love the mall. i hate shopping, but i love the mall lol.

I pretty much agree with this. I don't hate shopping malls but I'll absolutely stay away during this time of year if I have a choice. This is the first Christmas in 8 years where I haven't worked in or just opposite a shopping mall. I'm familiar with how hectic it is in November and December, and I don't miss it.

Ick, yeah, the stuffiness is annoying. Department stores are the worst. But I don't really hate it...I just hate the morons who stand in the aisles and talk. Get out of the way, idiots!

Three suspects in custody after fatal shooting at Boynton Beach Mall
Sun-Sentinel.com & The Associated Press
BOYNTON BEACH -- A mall packed with 20,000 people erupted in gunfire Sunday afternoon, scattering Christmas Eve shoppers and leaving one man dead.
Police have three suspects in custody.
The 140-store Boynton Beach Mall was evacuated after the incident began about 2:30 p.m.
It began near J.C. Penney when a fight broke out. One man pulled out a gun and shot another man. Two Boynton Beach police officers, working off-duty security in the mall, began chasing the shooter, who was firing back at them.
"The suspect ran through the mall and began to fire at officers as they were chasing him through the mall,'' Boynton Beach Police Lt. Jeffrey Katz said.
They chased him into Dillard's women's store, and police used the store's public-address system to try to talk him into surrendering.
Police finally cornerned the man in Dillard's and took him into custody without other shooting, Katz said.
Traffic around the busy mall, already congested with last-minute shoppers, turned into gridlock, police said, and Delray Beach police and the Florida Highway Patrol was called into help move thousands of cars out of the mall lots and away from the area.
A helicopter from the Palm Beach County sheriff's Office circled the mall.
Inside the mall, shoppers watched in horror as the victim lay in a puddle of blood after being shot.
Sinette White, 19, of Lake Worth was having her nails done when she heard popping sounds. It sounded like something had fallen.
Then she saw the body.
Shoppers gathered around the victim on the mall floor, and police arrived to give CPR. But then they heard more shots, White said, and police ordered them to disperse.
The mall intially was locked down, White said, and they had to stay in the nail salon for about an hour before the mall was evacuated.
Today the mall had opened this morning at 8 a.m. for Christmas Eve shoppers, was was scheduled to close at 6 p.m.
Mall officials said the mall has been closed for the rest of the day.
The mall is at 801 N. Congress Avenue between Gateway Boulevard and Boynton Beach Boulevard just west of Interstate 95.

I only went to one store at a strip mall this year... pretty amazing. I stuck with Wal-Mart on everything else, which was bad enough.
canuckkidd 12-25-2006, 04:18 AM I use to love going to the mall when I was a teen, always wanting new clothes or gadgets. Everytime I went to the mall I always felt I needed to purchase something. If I didn't, I felt I made a wasted trip. Then I grew up some and realized the value of a doller. Now it seems like everytime I go into a mall I just want to get out. :)
I Love John Ritter 12-25-2006, 05:51 PM I hate malls and I hate shopping.
Courtnee 12-25-2006, 08:31 PM You people are weird. I  the mall.
...It makes me feel hip. >_>
I love going to the mall, but since my days off are usually weekdays the mall isn't that busy. Going to the mall on a Tuesday afternoon sort of insures lack of crowds.
Corolla 12-26-2006, 09:05 AM I hate the mall too.
I hate going to the Mall, because each store only has a couple of registers
open and you have to wait forever to get checked out and if they have a
problem at the register you might as well give it up and go somewhere else.

Yooch 12-28-2006, 12:24 PM I like malls when it's not this season and they're not overly crowded. I hate malls during the Christmas season, especially the parking lots. My definition of hell is circling a mall parking lot waiting to seize a parking space like a vulture waiting to descend upon its prey. What a waste of time and gasoline, as well as patience! During Christmas shopping season, I stay away from malls, and shop as local as possible.
cmcb06 12-28-2006, 03:19 PM I don't enjoy shopping, I do my clothes shopping online. And also most of my shopping online. THe only thing I actually go to the store for mainly is groceries. ANd pretty much the only time i'll go to the mall is when a friend wants to go that's about it really.
Janice 12-28-2006, 04:21 PM I think I am one of the very few females, that absolutely loathes shopping. I despise going to the mall, and usually, I shop on-line (like @eBay) for clothing, etc.
Count me in. I do probably 75% of my shopping online....although I just became this way in the last few years, when I hit my 40s. I lived at the mall when I was younger and LOVED to shop.
Brad Russ 12-28-2006, 04:21 PM To be honest, I actually really love the mall itself. I don't think I put it right earlier. It's many of the obnoxious, and annoying people I can't stand, not the mall itself. Shopping in moderation is fun. I especially love the mall around Christmastime when the place is all decorated, Santa Clause has taken his seat in the middle of the mall, and the Christmas music is playing, as the snow powders the ground outside. I love that.
The mall - Tons of people ='s FUN!!!

You took the words right out of my mouth. I can't stand the mall!!! Actually, I don't know what bothers me more: the mall or the grocery store.
