I think it's cuz most Westerners keep dogs as pets and not a lot of us keep pigs and cows in our homes.

Exactly, I certainly would never eat dog or cat because I grew up with them as family pets. Other cultures they are just wild animals and eaten the same as cow pig or chicken.

When my brother in law was in Viet Nam during the war he sampled some dog meat. (He'll try anything once):lol: He said that it was very salty.
