I'm shocked no one posted this yet. I just heard this on ABC radio that actor Michael Evans, who acted in All In The Family and The Jeffersons, died of throat cancer at 57!!

UNREAL! He's not even that old and the guy who played his dad (Sherman Helmsley) is doing fine.

Does anyone have a pic of what he looked like recently or even in the last 10 years??

I just went on CNN before coming here and saw the announcement and I'm in shock too; another good and young one gone but will never be forgotten.

this is really sad sad shocking news omg i did not expect hear something like this he was so young half the Jeffersons cast is gone now Wheezie willies mother Jeffersons Henry jefferson wonder if we be getting a Jeffersons marathon in triubute to the great Mike evans

Simply heartbreaking. That's so very young. I hadn't heard he was ill. Prayers for his soul and his loved ones.

:( R.I.P. the sad thing about this is that mr. Evans's death comes just days before x-mas. my thoughts and prayers are with the Evans family.

Sad news. He was great as Lionel Jefferson. He always had me laughing whenever I watched scenes between him and Archie and George. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this sad and difficult time. May he rest in peace.
