Which do you perfer? I would rather have pasteurized juice so I wont ever come into contact with harmful bacteria. But, however as a kid in Brazil, unpasteurized milk was the only option for me.

Pasteurization is heating the beverage to a boil to eliminate any potential deadly pathogens embedded in the drink. Odwalla Apple Juice company had an E. Coli outbreak in October 1996 killing 16 month old Anna Gimmestadt and infecting 67 others, they were selling un-pasteurized apple juice to supermarkets. They were also the VERY first retail company that was going to be charged for MURDER under the category "Delivering adulterated food products for interstate retail". Until two years later when they pleaded guilty and was sentenced to $1.5 million dollars and they must now pasteurize their juices and they can only sell their beverages at Starbucks. swedeace 12-20-2006, 11:20 PM Unpasturized (i.e. freshly-squeezed orange juice) for juices are tasty.
