Working Hours at McDonald's. There is no way a Teenage Female should have beeen working a 7pm to 11pm Shift. Why would thelma even accept a shift so late in the Evening knowing she had to wae up and go to school and knowing how dangerous the Streets can be that time of Night?? 4pm to 7pm or 8pm would make more sense instead of a 16/17 year old getting off work at 11pm.

Maybe those were the only hours available to her. I am sure all the good shifts were already taken.

Besides, it wouldn't make sense for the writers to put in the script that she be offered an earlier shift, because then James wouldn't have a reason to get upset.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo way. I just wanted to provide two inputs.

So, what do you think? Could be that the late shift was the only possible hours left at McDonald's?

I think Thelma should have asked James First before decided to work the Shift 7p to 11pm. And why would Thelma want to Work so late at such a YOUNG AGE?-lol

Well, she didn't actually start work yet, but she did apply and get the job.

A young girl wants spending money, especially for hair care stuff, clothes, make-up, you know the $$$ was tight in that house. Also, she wanted to be able to help the family.

I know but like when I was 16 i preferred a AFTER SCHOOL JOB instead of leaving the House at 7pm to go to a Job on a school night-lol Like The Teenagers I see in the Afternoon working when I go to the Mall to buy Music, they are on a late afternoon shift. And if a Teenager did take a 7pm to 11pm shift, she would have to have parents with a car so she could get picked up

Wasn't there a thread about this sometime back?

You know you have talked a show to death when you start to make the same threads over and over.

They are. However, you are asking why Thelma didn't have a job in that thread. And in this thread, you are asking why she thought she should have a job at that hour of the night.

It's a strong possibility that I will mention a topic again since I don't write every topic I start. That's why I decided just to post Fun Fact Info for now on instead of talking about eps because I think I talked about everything since Aug of 2002
