It seems like in my family, I'm the only one in the holiday spirit. Everyone obsessing and upset about gifts and stuff. And I tell them how I really feel. That you should give people what you think they'll like from the heart. I know words can't help but it makes me feel bad. Anything I can do? Anyone else have to deal with scrooges?

I don't know, I really can't help you because I feel the same way. Christmas has become all about buying and spending and that's what makes people hate it. It becomes a money holiday and it just makes people nervous. That's why my mom hates it...it just causes so much stress. In my opinion the only way to make all of that stop is to get rid of all the spending and buying crap to the degree its gotten to. I could care less about presents myself.

I'm with you, Kelly. This year I am really in the Christmas spirit. The first time in a long while too. However, everyone else in my family isn't in the Christmas spirit. It is really a shame.

How do you cure the scrooges?
I triple my meds.
:joke:
Seriously though, I'm sorry you have to go through that each year with your family. Many in my family also seem to get bummed out around the Holidays, (Myself included), and I haven't been able to find a solution for it. :(
