First off, let me say that MR IGGLES is happier today than anyone cam imagine :) :). Beating the giants gives me such satisfaction because my hatred for that team can only be matched by solomons hatred for my iggles. I don't care how good either team is, when the eagles beat the giants it puts me in such a good mood, that will probably last all week :)
Onto the game. I am very proud of my team, it is amazing what happens when the eagles run the football, they look balanced, they look confident & they look like a playoff team.
For the second time this year the eagles held Tiki Barber who I consider one of the very best in the business to a very small contribution. Jim Johnson Had a good mix of run blitzes & the front 4 stepped it up big time against Tiki. Jim Johnson called a great game.
I am happy the way the secondary covered burress for the most part. With the exception of that one play that lito got burned, he did a good job against him.
Marty morinweg called a fabulous game yesterday, I knew sitting in the stadium that he was calling the plays, the plays were very well designed, the run set up the pass & the O line played wonderfully!!
Brian westbrook prooves once again how good & how valuable he is. When utilized properly, he is very tough to contain & he is getting better & better every week.
Last but not least My man BDAWK... what can I say about him, played one of his best games ever yesterday. 12 tackles, INT a couple of batted balls & 2 forced fumbles. He played Like the star he is.
So it all comes down to this, eagles wipe out the giants & look foward to xmas night & i have a date with the cowboys. It will be a battle for the division title & quite possibly a 1st round bye if things bounce right.
I am proud as hell of my team, from the head coach to the special teams players & everyone in between. 1st class effort against my biggest rival. One game at a time, but my birds passed a big test yesterday!!!!
