Yes, I do. I'm a very polite person, even at home with my husband. I basically treat people as they treat me.

Always....I was raised to be polite, and honestly, I can't stand rude people and would hate to treat others rudely.

Yes. I alway make it a point to say please and thank you to people and it really really bothers me when people are rude. It's like my number 1 pet peeve.

I do, but most of my students don't, and that makes me sad...I don't let them do anything until they respond with these terms, though!

I do, I have done so since I can remember, I will always do so. It is called common courtesy, my dears. And being nice to others.

I use them all the time. I can't believe the number of people who don't bother with these simple manners anymore. They don't even teach their kids either. My students look at me funny when I ask them to say "please" when they want something, "Excuse me" when they need to get by someone, or whatever. Sad :(

Always, I was brought up to always be polite. I say thank you even when I am purchasing items and the salesperson hands me my receipt. I am also a big advocator of holding doors for people. It bothers me when people are not polite and it bothers me more when people view being polite as a sign of weakness and/or being fake. Regardless, I will always be polite. :)

well, i've been paying attention a lot more lately, and i began realizing that a lot of people who claim to use them either actually don't, or when they do, it isn't the most sincere....

so now my question becomes: "if someone uses these terms but insincerely, it is better or worse than someone who doesn't use them at all?"

I loathe people whom, are uncouth, ignorant or just plain rude!!; and I, go out of my way, to be polite and courteous (I was brought up to be a lady)

I am always polite when dealing with people, when I find someone irate or rude I try to be overly polite just to get under their skin. This time of year especially so many people get so wound up and are so rude and arrogant (fighting for parking spots, cutting in line, etc...) no good will to men there.

A big pet peave of mine is people who are rude to cashiers or customer service people, I have no problem pointing out to them that they are being rude in front of everyone else in line.
