do you think it will last? I'm thinkin it won't. I really do love the show however the ratings are horrible.

I think its been given a 17 episode order so I assume it won't be around when February sweeps roll around seeing CBS probably has a mid-season comedy they want to roll out and seeing Monday is the only night they could fit a replacement into the schedule, I would say The Class is a goner seeing the other 3 sitcoms are all sealed up till the end of the season in May.

I like it too. But it hasn't got really any critical acclaim at all. All the critics say it's another friends rip off. Maybe if they had more hardhitting issues with comedy (kinda like Roseanne, maybe?) it will do better.

of course it will last ...until another hit sitcom takes its place anyways; isn't it the HIGHEST RATED of ALL the new sitcoms? (doesnt say a lot now does it?)

for the record, i LOVE the show and hope it lasts at least a few more seasons.

I don't know if it will last--that depends on how much patience CBS has with the show, but the ratings aren't quite as bad as some are making them out to be. No, they aren't stellar, but they are better than several shows that have been picked up by other networks for full season orders (Studio 60, Friday Night Lights, What About Brian, 30 Rock, etc.) Not to mention, the past few weeks have been making slight gains and it did out perform "How I Met Your Mother" in the 18-49's last week and kept most of its lead in audience.

As for critics, it's been mixed but again the reviews haven't been nearly as horrible as some have made it out to be. I've actually seen more favorable reviews than negative, though there have been both. And even many of the negative said the show had some promise with a bit of retooling. I haven't seen too many accuse it of being a "Friends" clone either. Of course there will be comparisons though coming from the same creators.

If anything, I think fan interest has started to pick up for the last few episodes. But whether CBS continues with the show will probably come as a result of how the new episodes perform that start airing in January.

The season finale is on March 5th, its looking less likely, unless it shows improvement ratings wise.

no, The Class will air all NEW episodes in February...

Part of the article:
To make room for "Old Christine," CBS will dismiss "The Class" early. The first-year show will return with new episodes Monday, Jan. 8, and aside from a repeat scheduled for Jan. 29, will be in originals through its March 5 season finale. That will bring the show's total this season to 19 episodes, a little short of the usual full-season complement of 22 episodes.

I hope the show lasts. It's really good. Aside from Reba and How I Met Your Mother, The Class is the only other Sitcom I watch. It's hysterical and at times, heartfelt. I love it. It's one of the best new shows that I've seen from the 2006-2007 Season. And it won the Peoples Choice Award for Best New Comedy, not too long ago.

I like "The Class" very much. It has grown on me.

I think it's the best new show CBS has put on Monday nights this season. I have tried to watch "Rules Of Engagement," but i think i will stop. Although "Rules" has a lot of people in the show i reall like, it's not nearly as enjoyable as "The Class."

I hope it sticks around.
