View Full Version : This is my post #5011 and I predict for the Jaguars game

Vince Young tries to run, a lot, but gets stopped by the Jaguars defense (One of the best in the league). Titans defense loads up against the Jags offense to stop the run, forcing Jacksonville to try to pass.

The game, therefore, is gonna come down to a battle of the two teams PASSING games, meaning it's going to be a long game, and I have no idea who'll win. If Garrard is on his game - or if Taylor/Jones-Drew find a way against a loaded-against-the-run defense anyway - Jacksonville wins.

Thank goodness we're not playing Houston again.

I don't know who will win either, the Titans are feeling good and so are the Jags

The Jaguars are waaaaay too inconsistent for my liking. The Titans have all the confidence in the world right now.

I'm going to throw something. Very hard. Very far.

Maybe it's a GOOD thing I didn't go to this one.

Jags are losing?

Tied now 7-7.

What got me ticked earlier was Garrard throwing an INT straight into Pacman's hands....In fact, as the commentators noted, Garrard knew it was an INT the second he let it go, and started running the other way to try to head off Pacman at the pass (Of course, he failed)

Garrard has GOT to learn to THROW THE BALL AWAY.

I still thinkthe Jags need to address that position in the offseason because I don't think Garrad or Leftwich is the answer

The more I see, the more I think you may be right. I DO think Garrard's a better QB than Leftwich *relative* to how Jacksonville runs it's offense. The problem is Jacksonville needs a Scrambling QB that at the same time can throw the ball and throw it dang well when he has to - and Garrard's arm is good, not great, IMO.

Still, better than Leftwich, at least.

Titans suddenly owning the Jags, and thus putting themselves further into the playoff hunt.

I'm starting to have flashbacks to 1999 again. And you know what, I can't handle another year like that. Not now, at least.

Except the Titans didn't win that game, Jacksonville lost it.

Jacksonville didn't even allow 100 yards of total offense. The problem was that Jacksonville committed FOUR turnovers (3 INTs, 1 FUMB). The two INTS were both returned for TDs IIRC, and I think the Fumble resulted in an immediate TD as well. TWENTY ONE POINTS due to turnovers. This was a 31-3 game that ended 17-24 due to the one factor. And it's embarassing as hell.

The Titans have a damm good defense and that's why they won 5 in a row. Holding the Giants scoreless in the 2nd half and stopping a Eagles team at the Linc, they are a damm good team
