Jessica Simpson is being criticized by her new movie costars for forgetting her lines on set, just days after she caused a sensation by forgetting the lyrics to a song during a tribute to country music legend Dolly Parton.
Simpson is filming a remake of the classic Melanie Griffith movie Working Girl in Shreveport, Louisiana, and filmmakers are frustrated by her performance.

The source on the set of Blonde Ambition tells People magazine, "After the seventh take on one shot, the director hid a microphone in her ear so a crew member could feed her lines.

"Everyone was embarrassed for her, but she laughed it off, saying, 'I'm sorry, everyone. I'm sorry.'"

Costar Luke Wilson was a bit more sympathetic to Simpson's plight, reportedly patting her on the back and reassuring her that things were okay.

Can't wait 'till the skank retires from showbiz altogether.

I love Jessica as a singer. It's not evident with the newer stuff she released, but when she burst onto the music scene in 1999 when she was 18, people thought she'd be the next Celine Dion or Mariah Carey (in the 90s). She had such range and power in her voice! She should stick to singing. Acting's not for her.
