Last year I made this thread and there were a lot of crazy, funny and just plain weird gifts that you had received through the years.

I thought I would make this thread again for laughs and for the newbies who were not members last year and also, in case anyone received anything last Christmas that fits this category of Best and/or Worst:

For me the best Christmas gift I received was my daughter on Christmas in 1983. She was born at 12:01 am. Had she been born two minutes earlier, it would have been Christmas Eve.

Worst gift: I can't recall anything that I received that was soooo bad.

my grandma gave me underwear one year...

It was weird because I knew she had been TOUCHING them and I'm a germ phobe so that didn't go too well.

Best gift: Too many to mention, i'd have a LOT of great ones. A laptop from last year and a few other things would top my list though.

Worst gift: Some weird sculpture my great aunt (who I don't know too well) gave me. Don't even know what it was.

My best gift was either our first computer back in '99 or a drip to Disney on '03. I don't know which was best. The worst would have to be these three cheap apple pins (the ones you wear on your shirt, well they were meant for women but...) I got? ODD.

Best: I did get a puppy one year...that was nice. My piccolo made me happy, and when my uncle passed away right before Christmas, he left me all his army gear because of my obsession with MASH, so that was rather bittersweet, but made me happy!

Worst: Two years ago, my "husband" bought me a dress much smaller than I normally wear with a note that said "I know this doesn't fit now, but it gives you something to work for."

Wow. That would upset me a lot if that happened to me.

 Please tell me you were on a diet at the time. If not, tell me you divorced him. Kidding, I think.

Three years ago when I was pregnant my grandma bought me this leopard print poncho and it was made out of see through fabric and it came with a matching blouse, and the blouse had ripples in it. It was the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life.

My best gift would have to be my engagement ring when my husband propose to me on Christmas morning.

Hmmm this is a toughie.

The best present I got was probably my digital camera. I had always wanted one and last year I got it. :)

The worst was probably this pink sweater with stringy things (kind of looked like a cowboy shirt) which was two sizes too small. So it was not only ugly but made me feel fat lol.

Best: I have two gifts that stick out in my mind as being the best gifts I ever got--one was the Aiwa stereo system that my parents bought me in 1998, when I was 16. It was just an awesome stereo--it had rainbow lights that spun around in circles as the c.d. played (and you could see it through the plastic, it was very cool). I remember getting that, along with some of my very first Beatles c.d.s, so it was something I'll cherish forever (it was the beginning of my Beatles obsession!)

Another great gift was the record player my parents bought me a year ago. It was the last one the store had (actually, they let my parents buy the one that was on display), so they almost didn't get it at all. It's a modern record player (can play c.d. and f.m. radio as well), but it's made to look like the vintage kind. I love it!

Worst: Oh god, my great-grandma is the QUEEN of giving bad gifts! When I was little, she gave all of us kids a big jar of stale penny candy (literally looked like the candy was from the 1940's), except she put it in a pickle jar (that still reeked of pickle juice). Haahaha, I still remember that gift  That had to be the worst gift I've ever received.

Nope to both! At the time, I was actually happy with how I looked and all...of course that changed things. Oh well....(see the cookie thread elsewhere) I'm using that dress as motivation to lose weight now :)
