Frosty Returns--Has nothing to do with the original Frosty or Christmas for that matter.

Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer--A special that tried to capitalize of the song and failed.

Those two!!!! That Grandma one is just horrible...WTF were those people thinking when they made this???? What the hell were they smoking? LOL

Also, any stupid variety special that had actors/actresses who thought they could sing, but can't! This was mostly in the 70's that I am referring to.

That reminds me, the cheesy variety "Holiday" special that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey did. LOL

I thought David Duke's special, "A Special KKK Christmas" was in poor taste.

Same for O.J. Simpson's, "A Bloody Good Christmas".

See, that's what I mean, those cheesy 70's variety specials were so damn corny...

I remember seeing so many specials with people who had no business singing. It was all abt ratings and who was popular at the time.

The Santa isn't the most attractive, but I really like this special. I love the songs in it. I wish the soundtrack could be released.

Wow now see, I like Frosty Returns lol. I think it would've been better to have the original frosty, but since he died...:( But it's not so terrible that I can't sit through it. I watch it every year. :)

Jessica Simpson has a real talent in crapping up holiday songs.

I agree. The way she overdoes it when she sings a song, it's hard to listen to without laughing.

I don't mind looking at Nick though. ;)

ABC Family is showing a few of the really lame Rankin/Bass Holiday specials.

One of them is "The Leprechaun's Christmas Gold."

Lame Lame Lame!

Leprechauns are only around to celebrate St.Patrick's Day!

Now that holiday deserves a Rankin Bass Special!

;)

I really don't like that special. The Rankin/Bass Pinnochio Christmas is a stinker too. However, for the most part I love the Rankin/Bass specials.

I forgot about the Pinnochio one! I saw some of that the other day.
Man, that one blows.
"The Life and Adventures Of Santa Claus" (I think that's the title) is another clunker.

Jack Frost is another Rankin Bass snoozefest. Really has nothing to do with Christmas either.

Yeah I don't like that one either. The characters in it are so Dungeons and Dragons or out of some awful version of the Lord of the Rings.

I also dislike Rudolph's Shiny New Year. Puke.

Here's one you might remember, Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July.

I have no idea what holiday they were really celebrating?!? Christmas or the 4th of July???

That might be the the absolute worst. I liked seeing Frosty and Rudolph in the same special, but the characters in it were so so so so so awful.

I'm keeping my daughter away from the cheesy Santa Claus/Father Frost foolishness of Christmas, and letting her know the value of sharing gifts and love between family members and friends this time of year.

I also want her to know that this time of year we give a bit of our fortune to others that are struggling in life. Because some of us was either in their shoes in the past, or may be in their shoes later on in life in the future. :)

I only want a gift card and maybe something nice for the kitchen, or for my kitties. :kitties:

That's probably got to be the worst Christmas special of all, Wal-Mart: The E! Hollywood True Story.

I thought that the cartoon Yes Virginia There Is A Santa CLaus was a total snorefest. I loved the classic Rankin/Bass specials though like Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty The Snowman, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Also kinda liked Frosty Returns and THe Little Drummer Boy. And also loved the year without a santa claus. But the other rankin/bass specials just didn't do much for me.

Nothing compares to the extremly lame Christmas Specials from the 70s.

I remember a Mac Davis Christmas special from 1977.
Since "Star Wars" was all the rage that year, the show had a futuristic "space" theme.

Yeesh.
