Mee too!!!
I think your gonna have a great year in 2007! All your shows are coming out. I'm really surprised Sabrina and WILAY were announced like 2 weeks apart. I can't wait to get both! I don't know, if you ask me you've had good luck these last few weeks. :)

Yeah, there was an article from The Daily News with Greg Hernandez which mentioned the popularity of the show on dvd. Many fans have been asking about The Lucy Show which they are speculating will be the next release after the complete box set. I could be wrong but I believe I read that the box set was planned to follow the release of Seasons 7, 8 & 9 (The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour). I have waited this long so I will also be waiting so I can get a nice box set with all the discs.
The article was here but the link is no longer working. I first read about it on www.tvshowsondvd.com

GoldenGirlsFan92 12-17-2006, 12:19 AM The Golden Girls will be coming out in February 14,2007.
Fraiser Season 9 is rumored to be coming out May 15,2007.
The complete series of "I Love Lucy" is already available. Seasons 1-6 (of the original tv show and not the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hours) are offered in a box set. I purchased it from deepdiscountdvd.com during their 20% off sale. I got it for $124.00 and amazon has it now for around $240. I got a great deal on it! http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=PRD049004

Yeah, but that's just all previous sets packed together. This box-set is supposed to have special packaging, I think. Plus, it should also contain the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour which has been billed as 7th, 8th, and 9th seasons. This will probably be more like Sex & The City in a specially-designed box.
Robert 13 12-18-2006, 10:56 AM what about What,s Happenin Now
:happyface YES! YES! YES! :happyface
mlingerfelt 12-18-2006, 06:44 PM does that mean they are getting released this year in 2007.

Chelsea 12-28-2006, 11:11 PM http://www.videobusiness.com/article/CA6402636.html
BCI has inked a five-year North American DVD distribution deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises, which houses dozens of classic TV quiz shows, including The Price is Right and Family Feud.
The first titles to hit shelves haven’t been specified but are expected from the Navarre-operated label in 2007.
FremantleMedia also holds rights to U.K. and Australian TV series The IT Crowd, Neighbours, PrehistoricParkand The Bill.
Fremantle first partnered with BCI on the November DVD release of The Best of Match Game.
“In surveying the current landscape of independent video publishing and distribution companies, we felt that BCI and parent Navarre were ideally suited for FremantleMedia’s diverse content offerings,” said Sam Toles, VP of business development for FremantleMedia’s North American home entertainment division.

BCI is happy to fatten its TV on DVD category with additional quiz shows and series.
“With the explosion of TV on DVD coupled with the demand for European content, we are confident the home video market will be ready for this outstanding lineup of classic and current programs from around the world,” said BCI president Ed Goetz. “BCI is thrilled to expand our relationship with FremantleMedia.”

BensonFan 12-29-2006, 01:49 PM Fraiser Season 9 is rumored to be coming out May 15,2007.
I certainly hope so. And for as long as they've been taking you would think there would be some extras, right? Like bloopers (which I would LOVE to see!)
But I give them kudos on the packaging and artwork. It's always great.

I agree they need more Bonus Features.
JulieSomoski 01-02-2007, 01:49 PM I just got word from Rose over at Anchor Bay Entertainment that the seventh season of Roseanne is due to hit stores in early April, either April 3 or 10. She also said that bonus features are unlikely as of now.

Very very happy about these. I'm feeling good about 2007. Now I'll just die if Sony releases One Day at a Time this year.

If '07 ends and I don't see Welcome Back Kotter, Season 1, Warner's in trouble.
I don't know what I'll do exactly...but they'd better watch out!!
JulieSomoski 01-23-2007, 01:21 PM I have some news.
Grounded for Life Season 5 is not going to be released, and the series has been put on hold by Anchor Bay entertainment, due to a large decrease in ratings.
According to Anchor Bay, season 2 was off only 6% from season 1, but season 3 was nearly 25 percent off from the second season, and now the forth season(just released in November) was nearly 40% off from the first season release. With just one more season to release, the show has been dropped.
kitcat617 01-26-2007, 01:29 AM I agree I would love to see Welcome Back Kotter Season 1 on DVD this year. It's something that my husband and I could both watch and that's always good because there's not much that we can agree on.:)
miltonsstapler 01-26-2007, 08:23 PM Interesting re Batfink and Wait Til Your Father Gets Home. It seems these short-lived shows are getting a run on Boomerang before these dvds sets were announced. Or maybe it helps off-set the costs of remastering. Bring on Brady Kids, Happy Days Gang, Emergency + 4, et al!
xmulderx 01-28-2007, 02:18 AM I look forward to CHiPs... also i can tell you that executive producer BARNEY ROSENZWEIG of Cagney & Lacey said the first 22 episodes of C&L will be released by MGM and Fox Home Entertainment around mother's day.
That info is available at the newly launched official Cagney & Lacey website.

Felix Na Vi Da 02-04-2007, 02:19 AM That would be awesome. I loved that show and have been wanting to see it again. I'd love it if Blossom came out as well.

catlover79 02-19-2007, 04:04 PM Any news yet on Bewitched Season 5?? Season 4 was released in October and I haven't heard anything. :(
TVJunkie101 02-19-2007, 04:22 PM Aren't they doing a complete series box set for Bewitched? According to Erin Murphy and her blog they are.

Well, in my case I already have seasons 1-4 and I'm not planning on buying the last 3 seasons. The only one I want now is season 5.
applecherry 02-22-2007, 09:21 AM I LOVE BEWITCHED ALSO, I WONDER WHY THEY HAVEN'T RELEASED THE BRADY BRIDES ON DVD SINCE THE BRADY BUNCH SEASONS DONE SO WELL ON .
SERGEANT PRESTON 02-22-2007, 11:36 AM Wanted Dead or Alive Complete Season 1 was released by New Line in June 2005 and their rights will be expiring soon and BCI will be releasing Season 2 in May or June. Maybe the big companies should realize there is a market for classics and not produce as many units and they will be sucessful with other labels. THANK YOU BCI.

Ditto. I'm also really looking forward towards the Best of Ozzie and Harriet release, another season of Frasier and Wings (but where's Cheers?), etc., etc., etc. I think I speak for many of us when I say I think I just may go broke trying to buy these dozens and dozens of new releases, as well as catching up on the old!

Ones with the single star are what I'll be buying on my own. The ones with two stars are the ones I will be reviewing for SO. I think I'm reviewing Flipper, but I'm not sure.

applecherry 05-11-2007, 12:32 PM Two Thumbs Up For First Look Studio's For Really Being The First STUDIO To Release Two Seasons DVD'S At The Same Time Same Date.(THE COSBY SHOW S-3 & 4) I Don't Think Any Other Studio Done This Before, Unless You Want To Count The Studios That Release 2 Season Togather Because The First Season Had Only 6 Episodes (dallas Season 1), And Release The 2nd To Make A Complete Set.
If Only The Rest Of The Studio's Who Follow And Give Us 2 Season At A Time.
It Doesn't Have To Be A Set Togather.as Long As The 2 Season Come Out On The Same Day, That Would Be Great. & I Really Don't Think That Fans Would Complain As Much
JulieSomoski 07-08-2007, 06:53 PM There's 5 releases I want on the same day in August (the eighth): Home Improvement S7, 8 Simple Rules S1, Roseanne S8, Full House S8. Saved by the Bell: WiLV/HS. That's a first for me.

It obviously didn't sell well, or else we'd be getting more seasons. But, Warner Bros. abandons a lot of their series if they don't sell well, like Growing Pains, Murphy Brown, Living Single, etc. Hopefully we'll see more seasons in the future.

liam444 09-27-2007, 05:34 PM The Golden Girls rocked! I hate when people say that the show was age specific because that's just not true - it was great for any generation. Wow I miss that show!
