A teenage kid was hunting on his parents large wooded property, and was shot to death. The police ruled it suicide, but the evidence seemed to point to murder, and there were reports that drug smugglers were flying in and landing on this large property and that he may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time and was murdered.Anyone have any info. or updates>

Isn't this the Norman Ladner case? As far as I know, there have been no updates in the case.

Yep, you're right, LooksLikeCRicci, it is the Norman Ladner case. This case bares some similarities to the New Mexico police officer who was found shot to death early in his career (Steve Sandlin) in that there was a third possiblitiy: accident. Given that he was hunting, it's entirely possible. However, I would have to guess that he was murdered. The police did find evidence of something in the woods that is commonly found in drug drops. He seemed like a good natured kid and I don't believe it was suicide.
As for details, If memory serves this happened in Mississippi in the late 1980's, and Norman had six siblings. An unknown man told Norman's mother not to investigate Norman's death any further.
