2. Fat is bad for you.

3. Carbohydrates are bad for you.

4. Lose weight by not eating.

5. Don’t eat after 6 p.m.

6. Salad bars are healthy.

7. Diet sodas aid weight loss.

8. You shouldn’t step on a scale.

9. You can lose weight with a pill.

10. You have to join the gym.

That's definitely not a myth- Carbs pack on the pounds- but there are good carbs and bad carbs. You gotta differenciate between the two.

same with fat.. some fat (trans, sat) is aweful for you.

This is a good idea. If you are working out with weights along with trying to lose bodyfat staying off the scale is a good thing. With weight training you are gaining muscle mass along with losing bodyfat. Alot of the time your weight will not change or will change very little because you are replacing one with the other. Instead of the scale just use the mirror. It can tell you whether you are making progress or not.
