Half a century ago today, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash walked in on a Carl Perkins session with Jerry Lee Lewis helping out. It turned into an all-day jam, though Cash had to leave early.

It was the first and only session of rock's first supergroup: the Million Dollar Quartet.
