Gwen Stefani has a new cd coming out next week. You can hear the full length cd http://music.aol.com/songs/new_releases_full_cds.adp?defaultTab=1&defaultItem=1
What are your thoughts? Her lastest song out right now is Wind It Up. I'm not really feeling the song or the rest of the cd this time around.
platinumblondelife 12-01-2006, 10:23 PM Gwen Stefani is always different and original. Fergie is trying to steal Gwen's style...Even on her album, Fergie's "Glamorous" sounds just like Ludacris' version of Gwen's "Luxurious"...

I noticed! I would definitely take Gwen over Fergie anyday. I didn't buy Fergie's cd because it didn't feel real- almost like she was trying to be something she wasn't. On the other hand, Gwen has always stood out even when she was with No Doubt. I wish the group would get back together to make music again.
Mr. Stefani 12-01-2006, 11:28 PM I like this one better than LAMB
jpcanes 12-02-2006, 03:17 AM I don't know about the whole cd, but, Wind It Up...cut the friggin' yodeling!!!

Yeah I know. Gwen Stefani has always been my idol since I was really young. Fergie made the Black Eyed Peas totally pop...except for a few songs I'm not sure they can be considered hip-hop anymore, so I'm not sure why the AMA's gave them the best hip hop awards. Has anyone yodelled on a song before? Not that I know of... unless you Keyshia Cole's "Love," which I like btw, lol. Gwen Stefani is always what she is though, when she does more hip hop influenced songs, it doesn't sound like she's trying too hard to me, because I dont think she's compromising who she is. Anway, that's what I have to say about that lol.
felicitylen 12-20-2006, 08:11 PM Okay, so I bought The Sweet Escape today and it's actually good. My favorite songs are:
Wind It Up (I know I claimed I didn't like it but now I do)
The Sweet Escape
Orange County Girl
Yummy
Don't Get It Twisted

Karen* 12-30-2006, 04:52 AM My best friend got this for me as a Christmas present. :D I like it a lot. Some of the tracks are too hip-hoppy for me, but there are a lot of good tracks that make up for it. Wind it Up, The Sweet Escape, Early Winter, 4 in the Morning, U Started it, and Wonderful Life are my favorite songs on the album.

That's exactly why I don't love the entire album; the "hip-hoppy" stuff.
platinumblondelife 12-31-2006, 01:15 AM Why did she make The Sweet Escape the next single? It's okay but not that catchy...I am needing her to release Yummy as the next single lol.

Blondie Bear! 01-03-2007, 03:31 AM I think the album is solid and about as good as her previous solo effort, LAMB. It did not really take me time to get into the album, I pretty much liked it from the first listen. My favourite tracks are; 4 In The Morning, Wind It Up, The Sweet Escape, Early Winter, Yummy, Wonderful Life and Now That You Got It.
coffield3 01-05-2007, 08:05 PM I have always been a huge fan of gwen especially when she was in no doubt,i like some of the songs on this album but not many, maybe ive grown up and left gwen behind?
