WE ALL KNOW JO WORE HER TIES LOOSELY WHILE AT EASTLAND, BUT HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT SHE WAS THE ONE WHO WORE THEM MOST OF ALL AFTERWARDS? AND I DON'T RECALL THAT THEY WERE LOOSE, EITHER. JUST FOUND IT FUNNY AND IRONIC.

NOW THAT WAS AN 80'S THING! GIRLS AND WOMEN WEARING TIES. COURSE, IF YOU LOOK OVER OLD MOVIES, YOU'LL NOTICE THAT WAS THE THING OF THE DAY BACK THEN, TOO. GUESS WE BROUGHT THE TREND BACK.

I HAD A FEW TIES. IN FACT I WORE MINE MAINLY LOOSE TOO, WOULDN'T YA KNOW;). MY FAVORITE WAS OF THE CHICAGO SKYLINE. I DIDN'T CARE IF IT LOOKED MASCULINE. IT WAS REALLY PRETTY. AND SO I WORE IT, NOT CARING WHAT ANYONE THOUGHT. I AM JO jr:D

SAY WHAT YOU WILL ABOUT THE 80'S LOOK ON FACTS, BUT THEY WERE VERY WITH THE TIMES. IF YOU SAW IT ON FACTS, IT WAS HAPPENIN. NOW SOME MAY THINK THAT'S A SAD THING:lol: BUT IF YOU GREW UP IN THE 80'S, YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

I MISS THOSE DAYS OF TIES, PARACHUTE PANTS, AWESOME TV SHOWS & MUSIC, AND...WELL, I COULD GO ON & ON, BECAUSE I'M TRULY AND WILL FOREVER BE AN 80'S KID. AND DARN PROUD OF IT:p

I agree the 80's was a decade to remember for me...

Whenever I think about growing up in that decade I always picture myself waking up in the morning or coming home after school to watch cartoons. From Alvin and the Chipmunks to He Man to Muppet Babies to Transformers to Voltron the list goes on. Saturday morning cartoons are a thing of the past and no longer worth getting up for. My recollection also takes me back to the priceless TV shows the decade had to offer from the A-Team to Degrassi Junior High (no not the next generation) to Facts of Life :D to Family Ties to Full House to Kids Incorporated to Mama's Family to Mr Belvadere to Perfect Strangers to Silver Spoons to and finally Three's company. Heck, I would be doing a disservice to my 80's childhood entertaiment if I failed to mention the game shows from American Gladiators to Double Dare to Fun House to Just like Mom to Kidstreet to Win Lose or Draw.

The music of the 80's was also more innocent, less blunt, and graphic. I remember when George Micheal's "I want your sex" caused a stir even Madonna's "like a virgin" was considered risque at the time but that's tame compared to the lyrical content of today's music. I know this sounds a little sweet but songs of the 80's made you want to fall in love, avoid it at all costs, or at least party like it was 1999.

To me the 1980's was all about my childhood synonymous with innocence and being carefree. Although I can never get back my childhood, fortunately I do know I can still listen to tunes of the 80's and watch old 80's television shows or movies on DVD. More importantly, I can always look back at that era in my life smile and know I was lucky to have been an 80's child.

Jo's hairstyle during seasons seven and eight is exactly like mine was in junior high (1988-1999).
