I get a "Gateway Timeout" message. I'm having trouble logging on and staying on when I get on. I'm having problems opening pages. This has been happening off and on for days now. Anyone else?

i dont get that because i have it set to whenever i visit the boards, it automatically logs me on, but today and last night the site kept timing out...a LOT.

Same here Janice. Thank the Lord, LOL, I thought it was just my computer, but no other websites have been giving me such a hard time, only SO. It is baaaaaad. Gateway keeps coming up, etc.

Not only that, when I make a post, it takes FOR-------EV-----ER to finally post. Also, there have been times when it takes a long time to post my reply only to get that getway message and my post is never posted. I have to do it again. This is frustrating.

I haven't had any "Gateway" problems, but I have noticed that within the last hour or so it took me a while to load pages and even log into the public computers here at work. Ack!

P.S. It took me about five minutes just to post this. Grrr...so, add on "posting delays" to my list. :grr:

i figured maybe the site is swamped at the time or my internet service is just slow

Same here. I'm always logged in, but have been getting gateway timeout errors for the last week.

I haven't seen any Gateway errors but SO has been going extra slow for me for a few weeks and a few times SO keeps going offline. One night it went offline at least 3 times before I went to bed.

Same thing here...it'll say 'Cannot find server' if I try to respond to a thread. It happens on and off. I'll keep refreshing and get it working again so I can post.

I'm haveing thesame problem,but evrytime I log in I have to sgin my nic and password everytime,it sucks.

We are trying to fix the problem. I've tried many different settings and nothing seems to work. The server has to be rebooted every time I change something, so it will be offline for about 2 minutes.

Hmm, I haven't been on as much lately, but I haven't noticed any problems.
