Since I normally shoot from the hip, here it goes. not naming names and NO, this is not directed at any of my regular trading partners, mainly newbies are the guilty parties. IF this had happened with any people I have traded with then I would have emailed you directly, so no need to read into this.

So, here it goes,

IF you contact me for something and I go to the trouble to Trade/barter, etc. THEN HAVE the decency to follow through or formally cancel. I am sick of being bothered by people who can't make up their mind, cancel halfway through, whatever. IF you committ to something, stick with it, you would expect that from someone else, wouldn't you? I would, but I think there are too many "clueless" new people on this board.

Once this happens, I can guarantee you that I will never trade with you no matter what you have.

Call me a jerk, but someone needs to say this, I am sure I am not the only veteran here being bothered.

Yeh, I've had a good few done this to me. Say they want it and then not follow up or anything. One where I offered him 10 extra disks to send first as he wanted two shows and the disks were extra but I did them so he didn't have to wait so long. But such is life I guess:lol:

Very true but once the word got out, that would end the trading for this person. Don't think it happens often but once is enough. Usually happens with a new person and with sales. They get one price form one individual and then get a lower price and go tell the first seller, "take a hike". For the traders who have been around for awhile, they don't indulge in these shady deals.

In my experiences, some people tend to class people who don't follow through as bad traders, even when no one is out any discs, simply because you made an agreement & it was not fulfilled. I certainly agree it's noteworthy, at the very least. One potential trader who contacted me & was to send first, told me three times he would ship & never did. When I mentioned his name on another site, it turns out this was pretty common behaviour for that person. So at least it's good to be forewarned & make sure that person would send first. (And don't burn your discs until receiving!)

Joker--- apparently there are those who have begun to circumvent the rules about not insulting, attacking of harassing other members by using avatars-- locations--- signature lines--- etc as ways to purposely annoy and upset other members and regardless of who does it and which side of the line they are on, i for one, think it needs to end

dont know why, dont know what the joy in it is, dont know why people cannot just act like adults and let the silly pettiness go--- especially when I count about half a dozen times that moderators, administrators and others in the chain of command have asked and told people point blank, to drop it--- maybe if we all close our eyes and click our heels and wish really hard, everyone involved can play nice?

in many cases i get a certain set , because someone else wants it, and i can send it to them, and get something i actualy want

well if stinky22 promises to send me the set, i then stop seeking it, and when stinky22 decides to allow to to be holding the bag, and duck out of a deal

i have lost my window of oppurtunity to get what i really want, since my other party isnt goingt to sit around forever and wait for me

I only changed my avitar and signature line today after two weeks of childish behavior by a select four but I will take your advice and be a man and go back to my original avitar. Of course it it continues I turst you will TJ why it continues.

Thing is, some Mods have even joined in, even going as far as to directly mock TJ's decisions. Some example their setting.

Well, i would like to propose that the people that WANT to keep the trading post open, do not engage in any of the petty fighting and insults, put other members that you don't want to listen to on 'ignore', and let people dig their own holes to fall into.

A trap is only that if you let it be, if someone is making personal attacks or breaking the rules, don't get involved - just report it and let the moderators handle it. I will "go to bat" for the Trading Post every day, but you guys have to be careful to not put yourself into a position where I can't defend you or your actions.

I will do my best to handle troublemakers and treat everyone as fairly as I possibly can. I have been a silent spectator on this board for a long time, and I am well aware of the history here.

Try to think how the fight started. Thought it ended when a moderator got suspended but that was just the beginning. Look back, I stayed quiet for two weeks and let the Fab 4 run wild, unchecked. Not one day went by without them mocking someone and defending each other's action and now you say, "no fighting" Read back, when did we fight. I didn't say a word for two weeks, Lamont never called one a name, nor did anyone else, but the fab 4 went on a tear, first questioning the decision of TJ for one week with"it's only 5 dollars" No one else commented about Solomon's suspension, not a peek but they commented every day for a week and we were fighting. Lamont, RedWhine and then me were mocked in the avitar, and signature line, we said nothing. Today Bobby F decided to post my last name in his avitar and you want the fighting to stop. How many times do you turn the other cheek. This is all from those who don't trade, have no interest in trading except to cause grief. Maybe you should turn your attention to the guilty ones, moderators or not.

And then others like Janice sending abusive emails to Kim with lanuage that cannot be repeated, and calling the rest of weirdos and TP fools.

TJ suspended solomon recently for not sending payment to someone, it was agreed that he should at least cover postage ($5). When faild to do so, TJ suspended him.

Brian Damage has been mocking TJ's decision in his signature ever since.

I never got foul language from Janice.

i was called two faced, and other things becuase I openly said to TJ that I felt it was ridiculous and I think immature that she as well as another modeartor, was participating in what I think is stupid, and BS behavior.
I think the members, ake cues from the moderators.

At first BobbyF posted a whimsical, satire comment-
then redwhine, then briandamage, then walking tall, then janice- the beahviour was spreading.
I was ASKED my opinion, I gave it to whom asked, and that opinion was shared.
Upon hearing my opinion she felt I was two faced and other things, but never cursed at me.

I don't consider holding a moderator to more mature behavior two faced
but if you want to say something, say it factually.

Maybe this will now end bobybf reporting the thread 6 times an hour, or janice feeling she is being trashed.

I hope this clears this up, and for the record arguiing it here, won't do any good.
