View Full Version : Little details make for big laughs
*ClassicPinUp* 11-26-2006, 01:04 AM My favorite thing to do while watching The Honeymooners is watching *especially when they have no lines & are just standing there* thier expressions, hands, legs etc. Sounds silly I know but I find that I catch a lot of funny things when paying attention to small details. Anyway I was just watching "A Man's Pride" & noticed when Ralph, Norton & Bill Davis where talking after the fight..Ralph was saying how he "runs things at the Gotham bus company" Norton chimes in with "Oh yeah he's in the drivers seat"...Ralph goes to give him the usual punch in the stomach but this time he misses & hits Carney right smack in the "man land :lookaroun" Art kind of gives him this "what the heck" look & Jackie just looks at him like "opps".
Okay now that the novels over :D anyone else notice things like that? I don't know that they are considered "bloopers" as it's not something you'd notice unless you were really looking for it..either way I find it fun:lol:.
*ClassicPinUp* 11-26-2006, 08:52 PM I had heard about the stomach rubbing thing but had forgotten until you brought it up..will look for that now. It is interesting to see how they stay in character--just goes to show how good they were! :)

I have them printed out :p ..I was getting tired of watching The Honeymooners, seeing something I thought may have been a blooper, pausing the DVD, then getting online & checking your website to see lol.

Haha, well I'm sure I didn't catch every single one, so keep an eye out for me! ;)

Benno123 11-28-2006, 10:24 AM My favorite blooper is still when Gleason came out with his fly undone. For some reason I find it funny since it happened to him, but the last time that happened to me I didn't find it so funny!!!

I'll tell you a funny story that happened years ago where I used to work. There was a man in the office who was late for a meeting, so he's grabbing things to throw in his zippered briefcase on his way out of the door. As he is walking down the hall stuffing things in it, his secretary says, "Mr. G...your zipper's open and all of your stuff is falling out"!...Naturally, he grabs his crotch.

lmao! Thanks for sharing this one! This popped into my head when I was having one of my clients do pushups & I burst out laughing...poor thing thought I was laughing at her.
Benno123 11-29-2006, 11:14 PM Greg,
That's the best story I've heard in a long time! Thanks for sharing! In fact, I may just have to share that with some people I know!!!!
Bill S. 11-30-2006, 09:36 PM Okay will do ;).
Another little detail that comes to mind that I thought was pretty funny was in "Champagne & Caviar," when Ralph pulls out a magazine that has Jackie Gleason on the cover. If I'm not mistaken, something similar happened in an episode of I Love Lucy, Lucy was seen reading a magazine with Lucille Ball on the cover.
