I'm not too crazy about Hawkeye on MASH. I wouldn't say I hate him. He does have his moments. I just think the other characters on MASH were so much better, but they were often overshadowed by the Almighty Hawkeye Pierce. I especially find him annoying in the later years of the show. Alan Alda killed the show.

I really can't stand Sam or Diane on Cheers. Sam does have his moments (I love when he babysits Frederick! ) but overall I think he's a self-centered sleazebag. I don't get what those women saw in him. I think he's a slimeball.

As for Diane Chambers, I don't think she has any likable qualities at all. She's an even bigger snob than Sam is. She thinks she's so much better than anyone else. (Yet she was working in a BAR, of all places!) She's just so irritating that I want to reach into the TV and strangle her!

Overall, I find that characters I can't stand tend to reflect the kinds of people I don't care for in real life. Probably why I never cared for watching Seinfeld or Friends.

I didn't really have any feelings for Hawkeye, Sam Malone, the Friends cast, Gloria Bunker-Stivic, Fonzie, The Nanny, the women of Three's Company, Saved By the Bell Cast, and I can think of more when I have more time.

Everybody, what, loves Raymond?

Ray Barone is basically a harmless, decent guy, but I wouldn't go that far.

For me Mary Richards (a.k.a. Mary Tyler Moore) fits this category. I have tried watching The Mary Tyler Moore Show and it has usually put me to sleep. I remember watching one episode one time, and it was about an election and there was a snowstorm and they couldn't count the results, and I thought Mary was a real dog when she got angry and made her coworkers stay.
