I think I will look into it. Thanks. I have seen sets that go for like $20-$25 that can cost upto $40 or $50 with shipping. Ok anyone know any good cheap US sites anyway and then I can have a look at what sort of cost it would be jie3 11-20-2006, 07:43 PM Yeh I had thought of that to be honest. Amazon.co.uk will give you free shipping on anything over £15, and the marketplace sellers will usually give you good deal (especially if you don't mind secondhand. Play.com is by far the best in the UK, their prices are the best, and they offer free shipping no matter whst you buy. If you do still want to purchase from the US, then Amazon usually charge about $10 (which is probably what you'd pay someone to ship it over to you here), but keep in mind that anything from the US will be NTSC Region 1. J Yeh I Will have a look on amazon. They could do with the business:lol: I am looking to get stuff that isn't out over here to be honest J. Home improvement season 4/5. King of the Hill. I saw season 4 upto £30 on ebay and it is only $30 in the US. Don't think I will be getting too many retails from the US but maybe one or two. jie3 11-21-2006, 04:55 AM Yeh I Will have a look on amazon. Ah, I see, I didn't realize it was for stuff you can't get here. In that case, your best bet is www.loaded247.com , they are uk shop which specializes in Region 1 Their prices are actually quite good. - e.g. King of the Hill season 4 £19.99 delivered. Seasons 5 & 6 are the same. Home Improvement seasons 1-5 are about £24 each delivered. J savageamusement 11-21-2006, 06:22 AM A suggestion Post a lit of things you want- and then, find a site that has a good price. You pay for it, and hae it shipped to the US- to someone that wants the same items. They get to copy them for themselves, or watch them and then pass them on to you- for what shipping is- And with global flat rate, it coudl be affordable For example, I just had a trader find a movie on ebay but it was vhs, so they shipped it to me and I copied it in, and gave them a couple copies. With combined efforts you can get some good deals- What one pays for items the other only pays for shipping, saving each person, one or the other. But, again a reliable trader is KEY I think amazon and half.com have reasonable rates to the UK try Secondspin.com Japs 11-21-2006, 01:12 PM That site looks ok J thanks. I have someone lined up who will get them and ship to me if I need to. Some money to be made on ebay getting new releases from the states. |
