How about All in the Family? What's going on with these classics that seem to be slipping as far as production and yet FAR lesser shows, like the Golden Girls (an opinion) are strolling right along? :(

According to TVShowsonDVD, AITF will be releasing sometime in early '07, which is fantastic news.

I agree, LITB and Green Acres are two of my all-time favorite shows, (especially Green Acres) and it's not fair that they're not releasing quicker...my guess is that they're not selling as good as other shows are; people have bad taste, I suppose. I know I would buy the other seasons of both shows in a heartbeat if they do release.

I think the problems with Leave It To Beaver DVD sales are:

-- Lack of publicity - not even listed in Best Buy and Circuit City ads

-- Lack of inventory. The set was not even displayed at Best Buy. They had to search in the back to find it.

-- No first week discount on the DVD sets.

-- More expenseive than almost all half-hour single season DVD sets.

-- No commentary from any of the actors, writers, directors, or creators.
