I think I am about to make the most blasphemous statement: I don't really like Thanksgiving food at all. I'll eat the salad and the pie, but not the turkey/stuffing/yams etc. I know, I know, I must have a disorder or something, ha. (Believe me, I've heard it all when I tell people that I don't like Thanksgiving food!) :)

I'll also have to agree with that.

I only liked my grandfather's stuffing. It was an old Lebanese recipe he got before he came to America from Lebanon (I'm actually half Lebanese- never admitted that before here on SO, because in real life, everyone used to call me a terrorist... :lol:)

He died back in March. The whole family knows how to make it, but we're going out for dinner this year. It's just too hard.

I always stuff my face with stuffing on Thanksgiving....I love it! :lol:

Stuffing that has more emphasis on the bread and flavor rather than other 'crunchy' bits like celery--I like a lot, in other words 'simple' stuffing without all the fancy stuff in it.

And--as picky an eater as I am, I also like brussels sprouts. They're also very nutritious.

I don't think I'd like stuffing loaded with celery! :lol: Mainly because I'm not too fond of it. But when we have dinner on Christmas Day, I always make sure I grab a lot. (Greedy glutton that I am. :) )

I like stuffing, but I'm rather picky about it. I perfer mine super moist, and I'll echo the idea of without celery or that extra stuff.

Now, every time I see oyster stuffing, I totally think I'm going to like it 'cause it looks so moist, but I NEVER do!

We use casseroles instead! Man, my mom makes the best broccoli or cauliflower and cheese casserole EVER!

And Mashed potatoes with homemade noodles on top! I love Thanksgiving food.

...oh. Except turkey. don't really like turkey.

Does anyone here cook there stuffing directly in their turkey?? My family use to do that, but then we started hearing all this stuff about salmonella, and so we stopped doing that. Now we usually just have stove top. LOL!!

So, anyone know how to make mashed potatoes with yams/sweet potatoes? I have no clue how to make any time of mashed potatoes, and I have people coming over who perfer the sweet ones!

i like ALL thanksgiving food, honestly. well besides brussel sprouts but we dont have those on thanksgiving anyway. i had them once with bacon bits mixed in with them though and they werent TOO bad...
