OK these three characters are generally the 3 LEAST popular of the show (and all came in later years)

1. OPTION 1--- CARL, Floridas second husband. The boring Atheist that she rushed into marrying and then rushed to Arizona and ditched her kids for.

2. OPTION 2 --- PENNY, the janet jackson character that suddenly a wild woman like Wilona got to adopt and change her whole character around for.

or

3. OPTION 3 --- KEITH, Thelmas boyfriend and later her husband. A nice guy, but a bit on the dull and forgettable side.

Carl. No offense to Moses Gunn(God rest his soul) He was a good actor on Good Times, but the character was unecessary.

Keith. I didn't like Carl either, but I could put up with him more than that injured football player.

well Carl was so much worse to me

we used to call him THE BLACK LURCH because his character had all the charisma of Lurch

PLUS it was wayyyyyy too soon after james died for her to get remarried

PLUS florida would never leave her family and move across the nation for a man she barely knew

PLUS florida was very religious and i find it hard to stomach that someone as christian as she would marry an atheist she barely knew

Still no one chooses the Penny character

she was realllll annoying and SUCH a bad actress back then

maybe they overlook it since she grew up to be pretty?

:p I chose Keith :p The minute they bought his character on the show I just tuned out. I never liked him. Or cared for him. (Sorry to the actor) I just couldn't see him in that role. So back in the 70's when Keith came on I stopped watching Good Times. :p :p

keith just seemed so fake
he seems like a nice guy
but as an actor, it was so stiff and fake

he never fit in with the cast and i also thought he looked WAY OLDER than thelma!

well, clearly the show had jumped the shark by then. Keith was my least favorite character.

I disliked Keith the most, Carl was at least interesting. I see eveyone liked Penny afterall, lol.:D
