Ok, I know we have all seen these episodes a bajillion times, but it's so much fun to share all these tidbits with fellow Lucy fans.

In the episode with Lucy and Ethel pretending to be martians to earn $500. After the stunt, they both enter Lucy's apartment. It was stated earlier that Mrs. Trumball was watching Little Ricky. Why didn't Lucy notice that Mrs. Trumball was not there? If she wasn't there, then who was watching Little Ricky? Later, when Lucy and Ethel are reading the paper out loud, they both become scared and Lucy remarks, "I wish Ricky was home too." Wouldn't she have seen him after she changed her martian costume? Afterall, he was the one home with the baby. They made it seem like Lucy never saw Ricky from the time she got home with Ethel to dinner time (after the boys did their martian scheme).

Yes Irene, you are right. Here is another example of "leaps" in the story line. As I've mentioned before, it has always bothered me how Little Ricky is pawned off to Mrs. Trumbull at the drop of a hat and then they never seem anxious to get him.

Little Ricky could have been at Mrs. Trumbull's apt. (but then Ricky wouldn't have asked him to go up to the roof), and Ricky would have had to hide behind the door the entire time. But then how did he get out to put on the costume with Fred?

There is no way these events could have unfolded. I guess that's something we Lucy fans have to accept. Sometimes it is distracting, though.

It's almost forgiving when you are a huge Lucy fan I guess. But like I said, to be able to share these tidbits with other fans is fun.

It too bothered me how Little Ricky was quickly turned over to Mrs. Trumbell at any given moment. Poor lady, like she had no life. :crazy:

When Lucy checked in on Little Ricky after getting out of the costume, my thought would be she would check in on the baby...and then wonder...WHO IS WATCHING HIM??? :rofl:

Also, why did the girls just happen to "have the money in their hands" when Fred and Ricky came in and stole it? Convenience obviously. Fred and Ricky sure got perfect timing. How did they know? I mean, the girls could have easily hidden the money, then, how would they have gotten it?

You know, this is my favorite show of all time; I have been watching for over 45 years and I have all the discs. I still am bothered by some of the inaccuracies. I can tolerate Lucy's costumes from the starch vat and the freezer (no way), and the antics like playing the cello, being stuck in the trunk, baking bread, editing a movie, being Harpo Marx, on a fox hunt, having a fake beard glued on, having a loving cup stuck on her head and riding a lawnmower. But when it comes to the everyday things in the apartment with the family and Mertz's, sometimes they seem more far-fetched and unreal. To me that is an irony of I Love Lucy.

You are right, Irene, it is fun to talk and think about it anyway. Nothing anyone can say will stop me from being a fan.
