Finally, the DVD's come out today! :)

Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until after Christmas to buy it, though. :(

Just too much money to spend right before the holiday season where Christmas presents have to be bought!

Anyway, they look fantastic. I only wish the discs and cover art looked a little more professional. It's great besides! Bravo, Time-Life!

This is Awsome News about Get Smart came out on DVD Today.

I am really looking forward to getting my set! I keep checking Time-Life's website to see if mine has shipped yet lol. :D

Well, I just saw on the Time-Life website that the dvd sets aren't expected to ship now until Nov. 21st. :(

So I guess we all have to wait for a little while. :(

I spoke with someone at TL on Monday and the sets were supposed to ship today (I didn't hear of any delay). Maybe they still will for those of us who already ordered and if you first order today (the 'official' day of release) they will ship on 11/21.

The reason I think this is because they are offering 'free shipping' again next to the sale price.

Ill call in a few hours after I go back to bed for a few and go for a run and post whatever information I receive (unless someone beats me to it).

I requested overnight shipping so hopefully it does come out today and Ill have mine tomorrow.

I just called Time Life and checked and indeed, these are delayed until 11/21.

The lady didn't have any more information other than to tell me that they didn't get enough in to fill the orders.

Ultimately this isn't a big deal and is only a few more days (I have next Wednesday the 22nd off already so I know what I'll be doing that day) but this thing has been up for pre-order for how long now and they don't have enough sets?

You would think they would be overstocked since they're the only ones that are offering the sets for purchase lol. I was really looking forward to watching them this week. With the Thanksgiving holiday though, I'm guessing they won't arrive until the week of the 27th. :(

Sure....I also sent a note to TVShowsondvd.com and told them that this is what I was hearing. I also sent a quick note to Carl at the WouldYouBelieve site.

Im sure they both have more access to this info than I and the person I spoke with was a customer service rep and probably only has so much information. Im just one of the consumers so Im sure we'll find out by days end exactly what is going on.

Yea, but you can rest assured Carl B. from wouldyoubelieve.com has the DVD set already. So they didn't get enough sets in to fill all the orders. What a joke. That pisses me off. What kind of outfit are they running over there? When the 21st comes, don't be surprised if they delay it further. Time-Life sucks.

Just my comment here...while I think the packaging is cool, its doubtful it will find its way on my shelf (I have several hundred DVDs already) so a packaging snafu that holds up the release of the product is kinda irritating to me (see how I change my tune from post to post) :p ;)

There is no ill feeling. But it's aggravating that there are priviledged individuals who already have the DVD's, and the rest of us have to continue waiting until the clowns at Time-Life can get their act together.

That stinks for yall. I hope yall get our DVDs soon. I'm getting Season 1 for christmas, becuase they now have a link to buy just Season 1.

I can't find it on Time-life's website, but if you e-mail them they will give you a link to buy Season 1. They don't when they will have Season 2 to buy.

Well I have a little bit of news today on the Get Smart set.

I didn't qualify for any discounts when I ordered.

In addition to the packaging issue which delayed the set, the thing that irritated me yesterday was now, TL was offering a 15% discount to anyone who ordered the set. It clearly stated in the print that the discount would not be extended to previous orders.

I called them today and asked about the discount and they gave it to me becuase of the delay.

Just a suggestion but if anyone ordered the whole set and didn't get a discount applied to it, you might want to call. They didn't hassle me. I simply asked to have the discount applied and they took good care of me. The total cost for me now with overnight shipping (so I should get it next Wednesday barring any other issues that may come up) is $195.

Just thought Id let you know.
