Just add it to your worst moment. Believe me, TVLand has waaaay too many WORST MOMENT awards coming to them.
omg65 11-10-2006, 05:17 PM One thing I do like is every weekday from 10 to Noon they show a 4 episode block of shows like Green Acres,Andy Griffith Show, etc etc.
TV Land has slipped big time in my eyes the last few years.I'm not really into many of the shows they air post 1970.I guess because of my age I don't consider 80's and 90's shows as classics.
I can't stand their original programming. What a waste of time.
I'm starting to think TV Land should rename themselves Generation X Land.
I really wish a new channel would come along and be what TV Land used to be 10 years ago.
Skywalker 11-10-2006, 10:07 PM Best: The 48 Hr Benson marathon
Worst: The Friday Night Movies
Mrgman 11-10-2006, 10:22 PM Best
Three's company returns and 48 hour marathons of 3's company
Adding Jeffersons and The cosby show
Worst
not giving 227 a fair chance
friday night movies
Good sitcoms gone or less I mean no all in the family or sanford and son on regular schedule only marathons. Less Happy days, Brady bunch, 227, and Lucy.
Screwing up the time slots 11:00 o clock at 11:12 I mean come on
My hopes for future
Adding who's the boss I'm pretty sure they will in late 07-early 08
friendsfan77 11-11-2006, 06:05 PM best: adding The Jeffersons
worst: Friday Night Movies and not following the time slots that they're supposed to (a show that's supposed to air at 11 PM airs at 11:07)
I could go on with worst moments but I dont think I have the time.
freshprinceofLA 11-11-2006, 07:43 PM Best: Three's Company comming back
Worst: The friday night movies and espically the commertials for the friday night movies with those freaky people!
Scoobiedoo30 11-11-2006, 09:37 PM Best Decison Threees Company Returning to the schedule
Worst Decison The riday Night Movies
treky 11-11-2006, 10:42 PM Best: deciding to bring back "That Girl"-even though they'll chop it up, like I'm SURE they'll do also with "Star Trek" & "MASH"
worst: Friday night movies, and all the reality shows.
Oh, and also using that weird time schedule at night!
Best: Airing "The Ropers" and "Three's a Crowd" and the upcoming 48-hour marathon of "That Girl"
Worst: The Friday Night Movies and "I Pity the Fool"
TVFactFan 11-12-2006, 01:25 PM Best: Airing "The Ropers" and "Three's a Crowd" and the upcoming 48-hour marathon of "That Girl"
Worst: The Friday Night Movies and "I Pity the Fool"
Actually you can say that TV Land worst moment was airing the Ropers at 3am in the morning-lol
71dude 11-12-2006, 10:07 PM Best: Bringing back The Jeffersons; dropping Andy Griffith from primetime
Worst: bringing back TAGS to primetime; LHOTP; buying reruns of MASH; too many marathons; mistreating Benson and 227; too many schedule changes; Friday Night Movies; too many westerns; stupid time shifting; I Pity the Fool.
Michael72581 11-13-2006, 06:47 PM TVLand 2006
3 Best Moments
1. "All In The Family" 35th Anniversary 48 Hour Marathon Weekend in January.
2. Adding "Benson" to the TVLand schedule.
3. "The Jeffersons" returning to the TVLand schedule.
3 Worst Moments
1. "Gunsmoke" and "Bonanza" being rerun to death every weekend.
2. Removing "Benson" from the TVLand primetime schedule after a month when it was doing great in the ratings and giving it bad timeslots after it was removed from the primetime schedule.
3. Friday Night Movies
Scoobiedoo30 11-13-2006, 06:50 PM Best Decison
#1 All in The amily 35th Anniversarry Marathron
#2 The Jeffersons Returning to The TV Land Schedule
#3 Bring M*A*S*H to TV Land in 2007
NerdOne 11-13-2006, 08:51 PM Best Decisions:
1. Bringing back The Jeffersons to the schedule
2. All in the Family 35th Anniversary in January
3. Sanford and Son marathon last month
4. Star Trek
5. That Girl
6. M*A*S*H
Bad Decisions:
1. Marathon daytime and night time blocks of shows.
2. The weird off-the-clock programming usually at night (a show starts at 9 PM would start at 9:05 after 5 minutes of commercials, and ends after 9:30 after five more minutes of commercials.)
3. Gunsmoke and Bonanza being rerun to death on the weekends.
4. Friday night movies
5. Original programming
6. Same old episodes being aired over and over again
7. I Love Lucy and other shows not being aired except during mini
marathons, or during wee hours of the morning
8. Hardly no 50's, 60's, or 70's programming
Scoobiedoo30 11-13-2006, 09:33 PM Best Decision
That Girl
big bertha 11-13-2006, 09:52 PM Best decision: Bringing back the Jeffersons
Worst decisions: Friday Night Movies, Not enough 60's programming like Get Smart and taking off the Munsters and the Addams Family. And too much reality programming preempting shows like the Jeffersons every Tuesday night. Why do people watch this lousy type of programming. I am surprised that people will support such cheap and lame programming that does nothing but insult your intelligence. Tvland(I call it stupidland)has way way too many commercials too. I will be dumping my cable this month and I am letting my cable provider know that the programming needs to get better before I waste one more of my hard earned dollars on something that belongs in the garbage.
I wouldn't let my dog watch Tvland.
Scoobiedoo30 12-02-2006, 12:00 PM Worst Moment Putting Benson on Hiatus
An 80s Guy 12-02-2006, 12:58 PM Best decision:That Girl
Worst decision:I Pity The Fool
Scoobiedoo30 12-02-2006, 01:00 PM Best Moment that Girl Marathron
ultravox 12-03-2006, 12:17 PM the Best Adding That girl. they need more rare shows. The worst. almost everything heres my list
1. WTF is with those movies
2. Original shows? good god
3. the same shows over and over and over and over
4. stupid mini marathons
5.why do they play the same episode twice in a day. what a waste of time
6. newer shows like 80s,90s thats on everyother station
7. Alf, need i say more
8. cutting the shows like crazy to add more commercials
9.all weekend marathons. to much of a good thing gives me an overdose
10. I pitty the fool... how stupid
Since most of us feel this way why do they do it? the ratings have to be bad if all of us dont like thses things.
TVFactFan 12-03-2006, 01:52 PM I think I Pity the Fool was a watchable and Different Show for TV LAND in 2006
PajamaParty 12-03-2006, 03:44 PM I hate TV Land now, it sucks! I used to watch it all the time but not anymore. I can't really think of any best moments because the channel's gone so downhill. Worst moments are innumerable.
1. Original Programming - I used to like how they occassionallly had on Inside TV Land when they featured shows like The Dick Van Dyke Show but the reality shows with Mr. T and following around Barry Williams and William Shatner, Chasing Farrah and all the crap in between. Why must channels alter their original concepts?
2.Time Shifts - where shows start 7 minutes after the hour. Nick At Nite does this too. It's annoying.
3. The lack of "classic" tv from the 50's, 60's, 70's
Brent88 12-03-2006, 03:51 PM Best: The Jeffersons Labor Day Marathon
Worst: Friday Night Movie, The Odd Times for Late Night Programming, airing the same episode of The Jeffersons twice back-to-back, any type of Original programming, overplaying western shows.
