There have been numeorus arguements. Numerous.
Specifically between the section of the Chit Chat forum/Political Area
And this Section/Members here.

Some changes have been made for example the Poltical section is now sign up only.

The bottom line is, this is a community of about 35,000 members.

And I guarauntee no one is going to like 34,999 other people in this world.

Arguements will occure-
Tempers might flare.

But the majority of the members here are adults and it would behoove us all individually and as a community to act as adults.

If you find you dislike a user, you CAN take steps to avoid them.
You can block your PM box from receiving messages from them.
You can place their name on your IGNORE list
and Voila, you don't see anything they post.
Or you can not reply, and simply avoid a topic.
posts are inside threads- and it really isn't all that difficult to avoid a post, or a thread.

Life isn't 100% fair.
This board is a representation of real life.
Many people, Many sections, Many backgrounds.

If you don't like a co-worker you rarely quit your job.
If you dislike a student you don't stop educating yourself in school.
You learn to either avoid or accept.

As a moderator, as all moderators here- we try to help with conflict.
We try to help ease the way, promote peace-and to over all answer questions, and help you enjoy the site to every degree that we can.

But, moderators are limited, as is the site in general.
Anyone looking for 100 percent equality on this site, or in life will probalby be dispaointed-
as each circumstance and each scenerio can have a different result

No one on this site is perfect, and most decisions are made, with the best effort and best ability available, from the information and options available.

I don't expect every user to get along-
But I do expect, users to stop going out of their way to harrass, antagonize, intimidate, or initiate problems.
I am not expected to fix every problem but I believe it is expected of me to be a role model - and while I can't keep everyone at peace, I certainly don't want myself or any moderator to lead an arguement or let perosnal feelings cause a conflict of interest.

When you find you are unhappy with a user-
Try to understand you dont have to like them
They dont have to earn your friendship.
It is not a fair expectation.

You can block messages
Block users names that blocks their posts and replies.
You can take measures to avoid them, and for most cases this will suffice.
You can report posts-
Or if you don't feel comfortable reporting this post, copy the link privately and send it to the modeartor or administrator of your choice if you feel, being objective isn't possible.

If not you can contact a moderator, preferable the one for the section the problem is in, but you can contact any moderator.

You can contact Seth, or Tj as well if all else fails

I can't say you won't have problems or arguements on this site.
BUT I can say that, how big a fight, and how big a problem is something that each user does have SOME control over how entangled they become.
You have to make the choice to argue back, reply to the post, read the post in the first place for example.

How much energy and time you wish to put into a fight- trying to prove your point, or show your opinion is up to you.
Becuase when it comes down to it- chances are, you will encounter situations, that people just won't see eye to eye with you

There are obviously more severe cases, and in those cases obviously some stronger measures need to be taken, and some of those measures are in the works right now.
But in GENERAL it has become an ongoing every day battle, and things don't simmer down enough for ANYTHING to get resolved

I see people apologizing and continuing the SAME action
And others, apologizing, and being treated as if its worthless

If there is ONE point I can drive home, its that resentment builds resentment
And sometimes the best way to show forgiveness is to MOVE on
and sometimes the best way to apologize is to be SILENT.

If you find your having the same arguement with the same person.
Stop arguing, and just move on.
Stop trying to prove your point- stop frustrating yourself- and just move on.

Its a big board, in a big world.

It comes down to asking yourself is this one fight, this one point, this ONE person- worth this frustration, and my time.

I know this is long winded-
but things have GOT to change- and that isn't just the moderator, or the owners responsiblity.
Members need to take responsiblity too-

Nowhere in life, will you find a perfect community where peace and harmony is carried out everyday.
Accept the good, WITH the bad.
Accept people aren't perfect and take a long consideration to the fact - the people that are on your list, you don't like?
The people on the list that you curse at quietly? the ones you ask yourself why are they on this board, I can't stand them....etc.

That list YOU have.....
Ask yourself whos list YOUR on.

And then realize that they have the right to be here, just as you do.

And no moderator or the owner wants to have to choose between you two.

But we will, if we have to.
