Atomic Shakespeare
Maddie's Turn To Cry
I Am Curious.... Maddie

dreams200377 11-07-2006, 04:36 PM oh this is tough...
!.) Pilot
2.) Brother, Can You Spare a Blonde?
3.) It's a Wonderful Job
4.) Maddie's Turn to Cry
5.) Witness for the Execution
6.) Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice
7.) Money Talks, Maddie Walks
8.) Symphony in Knocked Flat
9.) The Man Who Cried Wife
10.) The Murder's in The Mail - chase scene cracks me up. maddie is too funny.
In the past, Lady in The Iron Mask would have made my list also (before the music was changed). I just can't watch the dvd. the whole soundtrack is wrong. :( sometimes my list changes a bit too, but at least half of these always make it for me. oh man, more episodes keep popping in my head...this is not easy...
kismet 11-08-2006, 10:47 AM This is definitely tougher now that the DVDs are available. I have appreciated more episodes now that I have a chance to view them in such great condition.
Here are my top episodes TODAY - my list changes:
1. The Pilot - I still watch this repeatedly, and there are a few scenes that I can watch (and do!) over and over and over again. The scene when they first meet in his office, the blanket/harmonica scene (I melt), and of course the dance scene in the bar (I melt and then some!!!):D . There are others, but those come immediately to my mind.
2. Symphony In Knocked Flat - doorway scene, plus I think there was such great chemistry throughout the entire episode.
3. Atomic Shakespeare - I still laugh out loud, and I have seen this one hundreds of times.
4. Dream Sequence - Bruce and Cybill were just made for this one - I love it, love it, love it. Cybill singing in the black gown - need I say more, Cybill looking up with "that look" with hair slightly covering her face giving Bruce the once over - so sexy, the look on Bruce's face when she kisses him in the window, the kiss outside, "I think I'm gonna like it here", etc.
5. My Fair David - it just makes me feel good.
6. To Heiress Human - I like the way the plot mirrored their relationship, the ending car scene is simply the best, and I just love the way they can't stay apart.
7. The Straight Poop - again, this episode makes me feel good, and I love the way Cybill looks with natural hair and little or no makeup. Peter saying "...he's gonna lose" is so telling.
8. Sam & Dave - restaurant scene, "...dress cut down to South America" -- I love episodes when David shows jealousy, but I don't have the same reaction when there is jealousy shown by Maddie. That is why I will never like all of Knowing Her, Big Man on Mulberry Street etc. - I do like certain scenes but not the entire episodes. I still haven't watched Knowing Her since purchasing the DVDs. I have watched Big Man.
9. Maddie Hayes Got Married - this is a new pick for me. I laughed out loud when I finally had the guts to watch this season 4 episode when I bought the DVD set in Sept.. I have stated many times before that I can watch season 5 episodes much more than season 4. BUT this one is terrific. It reminded me of the first three seasons.
10. I Am Curious, Maddie - "Be My Baby" says it all.
Honorable mentions:
A Womb With A View
Next Stop, Murder
The Next Murder You Hear
Maddie's Turn To Cry
Those Lips, Those Lies
Brother Can You Spare A Blonde
Money Talks, Maddie Walks
Witness For The Execution
Every Daughter's Father Is A Virgin
It's A Wonderful Job
From seasons 1 to 4 and in chronological order rather than favourite first -
The pilot
Gunfight at the So-So Corral
Brother Can You Spare a Blonde
The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice
It's a Wonderful Job
Blonde on Blonde
Maddie's Turn to Cry
I Am Curious ... Maddie
Maddie Hayes Got Married
I can't decide on number 10, maybe it might even be from season 5 but I need to watch them again before i decide.

I like Gunfight too, especially the alley/bar scenes - "not a bad attitude at all" or something like that:D . I also love it when Maddie is so full of anticipation to start her new job.
I think it might be easier to list our top 10 least favorites.
dreams200377 11-13-2006, 09:23 PM i think you're right. LOL

...Different thread?
:happyface
laura a 11-17-2006, 09:43 PM Right now i`ve had time to mull it over i think iv`e managed to include all my favs.( Although they aren`t in order of preference)
1-The Pilot There are in particular two scenes that i watch over and over again and they are the dance in the bar and when David and Maddie meet for the first time is just so oohhh! ,i love the look David gives Maddie when he is saying to Agnes about imagining `everyone naked` is just priceless!.;)
2-To Heiress Human This one has everything we want,
sex.humour.banter.jokes.emotion.Bruce with his kit off!:happyface . The morning after banter in the office is just so funny and none of us could ever forget that `spot on the the back your neck` scene in the car:D .And then Davids (oops sorry Maddie i forgot to use condoms - is everything ok speech! )at the end.Has me falling about with laughter everytime!
3-The Dream Sequence....Both fantastic dreams with very HOT! kisses. Love those songs , Cybill has a great singing voice . Plus this episode has one of their greatest and funniest banters in it.
4-Twas The Episode Before Xmas This one is really funny and sweet at the same time and kinda piognant what with David and Maddies discussion about whether Maddie would make a good mother and david just having `this feeling` that she would, but then Maddie saying they would probably never know! ( If only the two of them could have known what was giong to happen ). Also love the spontaneous kiss that Bruce gives Cybill after the carol singing at the very end of the show.
5.I`m Curious Maddie( couldn`t list my top ten and not include this one ).I don`t need explain to any of you why this one is such a great episode!:D
6-In And Outlaws Now you might think it`s strange that iv`e picked one that hardly has any David and Maddie in it but when we do finally see them together even if it`s only in Agnes`s dream) BOY!!! it sure makes up for it.HOT!! HOT!! HOT!! wow we finally get to see how she reacts to having that spot on back of her neck just below her hairline kissed.:D
7-Father Knows Last. That speech that David gives to Alex Hayes about his feelings for Maddie just makes me melt everytime.
8-The Color Of Maddie Yeah i know it has that "we`re pals" speech but i think it`s a very funny episode oozing with sexual innuendo.
" You slide the stick in then out " need i say more:lol:
9-Symphony In A Knocked Flat This episode really shows off the wonderful sexual chemistry between Bruce and Cybill to great extent. Just watch both their faces and reactions to each other when Maddie opens the door to David.
10-Big Man On Mulberry../The Man Who Cried...( I could n`t choose between them so i picked them both) Big Man for that KISS and both Maddies and Davids heartfelt speeches. Plus not fogetting that side splitting " what a gin truck over turned" banter at the begining.
And The Man Who.. because it plays off the different attitudes that they have to great effect not forgetting those two steamy fantasy kisses at the end ( although i do think that Davids kiss was a little hotter.)
So there you have it . Boy did i find that hard , how can you pick just 10 when there were just soo many brilliant episodes but i think i did pretty ok.

MaddieLovesDavid 07-19-2008, 06:00 PM This wasn't easy and the listing fluctuates from time to time but here it is:
the Pilot - How it all began! Funny and romantic.
Brother, Can You Spare a Blonde? - Richard Addison. Need I say more? Well, I will. Jealous David!
The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice - Bruce and Cybill transported to a hot '40s film noir with big band music. Cybill in a black strapless evening gown singing "I tolja I love ya. Now get out!" David and Maddie kissing as "Zack" and "Rita." All of it - priceless!
Witness for the Execution - lots of emoting with feelings not yet admitted, a kiss, and a disheveled serious David.
The Son Also Rises - David is just plain cute throughout. Liked how his father, a sweet man, made him nervous. I really I loved how he and Maddie seem like an unofficial couple in their behavior towards one another. :D Rarely were they like this throughout an entire episode.
Big Man on Mulberry Street - (When David discovers her in his hotel room) Cybill's best scene in the series I think and she's had many good ones; David's reaction to Maddie's appearance and his confiding in her for the most part truthfully about his ex-wife. And he's wearing a white t-shirt. And there is an absolutely marvelous dance number!
It’s a Wonderful Job – All around charming. Maddie’s reaction to David and…Cheryl Tiegs?! I like how Maddie admitted to her feelings for David and how the guardian angel confirmed it by saying basically that since she had stronger feelings for him than for anyone else her memories of him would be the last to fade. And the Christmassy ending including a happy kiss. Lovely!
Maddie's Turn to Cry – Angst and tension. I’m always on the edge of my seat throughout the love triangle arc at the end of season three. I love the gentle kiss and Maddie having a great time throwing milk bottle ‘bombs’. I like how she and David, after a night of ‘moonlighting’ in their night clothes, stroll outside casually during the early morning hours contemplating breakfast. Sweet!
I Am Curious…Maddie – Who wouldn’t like this episode? It had the best Maddie / David verbal fight of all time…and much much more! ;) Curiosity might have killed the cat but satisfaction definitely brought him back! Plus “Be My Baby” and it’s a wrap!
Maddie Hayes Got Married – This was one the most hilarious episodes ever. Plus, a great kiss and a Maddie meltdown with an apology to David. I couldn’t have asked for more – except an impulsive marriage between the two of them officiated by the hospital chaplain. They were dressed for it, after all. (Does that ever happen in real life?)
These are the episodes I liked from the beginning to the end. There are some great scenes in many other episodes that don’t quite fit this bill for whatever reason. For instance, three honorable mentions:
Knowing Her (David emoting; Maddie jealous; me loving it);
A Trip to the Moon (Lots of emoting; David looking yummy in that sweater; the angsty exchange of genuine “I love you”s; Cybill's and Charles Rocket's performances as Alice and Ed in "The Bluemooners” dream sequence;
and of course To Heiress Human (the sparring; David happy and flirting; Maddie giving in :D )
