Since most (all?) traders do their own connections for cable/satellite, recorders, etc, and are knowledgeable about these things, I thought I'd pose the question here.

I just swapped our cable boxes for high def cable boxes. The kits come with coax cables. Am I correct in thinking all coax cables are the same? I mean, do I need to replace the existing coax cables we had with the non-high def cable boxes (input & output) with the new coax cables? (Hope that makes sense.)

Thanks!

Won't tell a difference. Just make sure they're screwed in tight.

If you got new ones, may as well use them. Coax does break down over time (at least that's what my cable company told them when I started to get bad reception so they gave me new ones and that cleared everything up).
