I think that without a doubt, all gentiles prefer Christmas to Thanksgiving. And it's not necessarily because of the presents, it's the whole package that goes with it- the warm feeling, traditional inspired songs, good cheer, bright lights, etc.

Christmas. And not because of the presents, or the warm feeling, or any religious meaning. I prefer Chirstmas to Thanksgiving for two reasons:

1. Longer break from school.

2. Closer to the end of the school year.

The presents are a plus, of course, but the real reason is because I hate school SO MUCH.

Christmas is def. the best.

Longer vacation and it just looks so good to be cruisin around looking at Christmas lights. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

edited to say: Duh! I forgot something. The 24 hour marathon of A Christmas Story on TNT. I swear I could watch that movie over and over, and never get tired of it. lol

Well, if I have to choose one, I'll
pick Christmas, but Christmas isn't the
same anymore in my family.

I like to think of it as a the whole season of Christmas, starting with the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving.

I think that is the beginning of the real feel of the season to come - the gatherings, the food, the weather, the shopping, the music, the lights, the tv shows - it's the kick-off of the Christmas season.

I love that Wednesday night. In my mind it sets the tone for the next month through New Years.

thats me. I hate thanksgiving- sure my school gives me a whole week off and i usually go on vacation with my friends early in the week but i hate the actual day because all the relatives swarm the house and they drive me insane and i end up hiding somewhere and then they think im an anti-social little freak...aghhhh. Also Ive never been too fond of roast turkey- i usually eat cranberry sauce and mashed potatos for dinner on thanksgiving.
but this yr might be ok cause we have a football game on thanksgiving so im gonna go w/ band and my friends.

I love Christmas though- and New Years is the best.

I wish I could say Thanksgiving because it falls so close to my birthday, but...I hate the holidays. My mother gets downright stressful and scary. AND complains about how much I eat. Which I eat because I'm depressed. About her complaining about how much I eat.:( Both Thanksgiving AND Christmas.

Thanxgiving is gay cuz u eat just cuz some pilgrims came here or something. how exciting. Christmas is awesome cuz u get presents and it's jesus's birfday and u get a 2 week break and i like putting up the lites

I hate Christmas. Commercialism has literally taken away all joy from the holiday from me, plus the fact that my parents say "I'm too old for presents." At least on Thanksgiving you get a football game.

Yeah, and btw, did you know the Puritan pilgrims didn't come here for "religious freedom" but to set up a religious police state where they would burn witches and people who wanted to have fun? Football would be considered blasphemy. That and the Bud Light Girls. And on the first Thanksgiving they didn't even eat
turkey. They ate EELS. :eek2: True fact.

Christmas by far! The longest break from school besides summer, teachers are nicer homework wise over this break than Thanksgiving, college bowl week, presents and lots of food, what more could you ask for?
