In season 4 "Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down," it was so lame when Jackie couldn't recognize Booker in a bear costume. I was in the kitchen with the TV on and when I heard his voice I knew it was Booker (George Clooney). How could Jackie not know it was they guy she often slept with? It smacked of "I Love Lucy" when Ricky couldn't recognize his own wife in a "disguise." That was meant to be campy, but it didn't work on Roseanne.

What was stupid was Jackie letting that hunk of a man go!!!!!! Out of all the losers she was with, she let two men go...Booker and Gary.

I know it's just TV, but a least they could have had Booker try to disguise his voice. "Roseanne" prides itself on being more "real" than other shows and sometimes it isn't that way.

It's one of my favorite shows, by the way.

Not to nit-pick .. but he was dressed as a Moose. Secondly, Jackie has been around the block a few times .. I'm sure she has indulged in some things that deplete some if not most of your brain cells .. so I can give her some slack.

It's one of my favorite shows, by the way.I think it was very intentional that Booker/George Clooney didn't diguise his voice-- Roseanne mentioned in an interview that during Clooney's days on the show, she had an inkling that "a man that gorgeous" was going to really amount to something in the entertainment world. She wished his character would have gone on to be more developed. After Booker basically "disappeared," she begged the head honchos to have him back. When they finally agreed to have Booker make an appearance, again, Roseanne was upset that they stuck him in a moose costume for the entire episode. So, George only had his voice to work with-- if he didn't make it obvious, anyone could have done the part. I bet those honchos are kicking themselves, now!

Yep, I heard that too. It just kills me to think that the network idiots didn't want to keep George Clooney on any longer. One thing I will say about Roseanne Barr is that she had great instincts regarding actors on the show. I think the George Clooney situation proves that.

Sorry i just have a disliking towards him.Well, you don't have to like everybody. I thought Bill Pentland (Roseanne's first husband) playing Freddy, the neighbor, was a mistake. He hardly had any air time, yet, he seemed so uncomfortable in front of the cameras that it made an impact that lasts. Poor guy! If there's a better Booker out there, who would it have been?
