View Full Version : These things that occurred made Willona's Surprise stupid...
Ireneparalegal 10-30-2006, 10:58 PM -When Florida invites Ray to Willona's birthday party...without consulting with Willona.
-Florida being pushy when it came to Ray giving Willona that gift
-Florida being naive that Ray really changed his ways...even if he did, it was Willona's business NOT to want to deal with him. Florida seemed to be getting "upset" with Willona for treating Ray the way she did.
Willona had a right to feel anger and hurt, afterall, it was Willona, not Florida, who was married to a man who cheated on her repeatedly and hurt her. She had every right to not want to see him, be nice to him, etc.
Also, the scene at the end that TVLand refuses to show. Where Willona calls the bakery and cancels the wedding cake she ordered. That really pisses me off.

I never realized that scene existed.
nlearfan 10-31-2006, 12:49 AM All those middle of season 4 episodes are a big blur to me, since they weren't very well written. Actually, that episode wasn't so bad compared to that Judy Cohen story, or whatever it was called with the girl who sings and how the Evans family helps her or whatever happened. That episode was definitely one of the lowest points of Good Times.

Yes, right after Willona slams the door, she composes herself, walks over to the phone, calls the bakery and tells the person on the phone to change what was going to be written on the cake. From Congratulations Willona and Ray to Happy Bar Mitz Vah ___________ (forgot the name), she then says, "I am sure you will find a buyer...I couldn't". She hangs up the phone and is real sad while hugging Florida. I don't understand why TVLand can't show this small piece. I mean, it adds to the story and closes it out good. It shows Willona and Florida hugging and reminding each other that they are there for one another and that Ray didn't come between them.

I give Brie more credit than you give her. She of course saw the whole episode at least once. Like I did (actually I have seen it whole more than once...I must have been bored) anyways, I seem to recall you making that same statement before and I know for a fact that is not the reason many people hate the episode. Many here have already told you their reasons why they don't like it. Why must you rehash the same ol' lie over and over??? Can't you just accept the fact that many hate the Judith Cohen episode? AND MANY HATE NEW YORK BECAUSE SHE IS A NO CLASS SKANK...
Brieannas21 11-01-2006, 02:52 AM The episode is just plain BORING and it SUCKS. Judy's weight has nothing at all to do with it. I'm not shallow like others, I can look past a persons physical attributes.
