Personally, this has always been my favorite episode. I think it also ranks with the all-time greatest Halloween-oriented movies and specials also.

Are you talking about "Fright Night", which originally aired on 10/27/72? That's the only one I know of that could be considered a "Halloween" episode. And even then it's a stretch, as no mention of Halloween is ever made.

That's the one. I'm not sure why Halloween was not mentioned in the show. I'd never really thought about that.

It was definitely a seasonal episode if it aired in late October.
