You want an answer--- ok here is the honest answer

IT'S NOT REAL! It is only a sitcom, not real life
and as such it is not meant to be overanalyzed like we are talking about the Watergate Break in here--- its only MAKE BELIEVE

does everything on a sitcom make 100% sense? no of course not
because the writers and actors all realize that its just silly fantasy for 30 minutes a week

Why couldnt het get a job as a fireman? Maybe he was a lousy fireman, maybe he had a criminal record, maybe there were no job openings for firemen, maybe it was a racial thing and the fire chief hated black people, maybe james was allergic to smoke, maybe florida thought it was too risky and dangerous, maybe they didnt pay enough..... etc, etc etc

i dont know but to be honest , i really dont think it matters much to most people, they realize its not real and they just try to enjoy the show

Characters and settings can be tweaked in sitcom land. It isn't real life Solomon. lol

No need to insult Lamont

actually im not insulting at all
i was being sarcastic

of course i realize he doesnt ACTUALLY think it is real life

my point was that he focuses on such small and insignificant details and makes them into such in depth and important matters that he treats
even the smallest inconsistency as if it were a true life mystery

this is good natured sarcasm, not an insult

well i dont see any "trouble making" this time around
just some back and forth about old tv
so let's not make a mountain out of a molehill

OK SOLOMON--- since u think all of us are wrong on this

What has all your Research on the matter shown u? what is your answer to the question?

Lamont, you of all people shouldn't say making Mountains out of molehills. He IS a troublemaker. I'll leave it at that.

Well Lamont has in the past made some mountains, but i try a lot harder now to see the molehills

and i never said Joker WASN'T A TROUBLEMAKER

i said he wasn't making trouble here

just because someone might be a trouble maker, doesnt mean every time they speak its automatically trouble

Shirley Feeny was NOT a virgin in Happy Days. On Laverne and Shirley, she was A VIRGIN.

This is not a good way to get some proof regarding the sitcoms debate Solomon.

And L&S/HD was a bad example because you know and I know those two shows are WELL CONNECTED-lol

Exactly. which is why I mentioned how the Shirley character was changed dramatically, even though the two shows were connected. James was "changed" dramatically because it wasn't James, it was Henry who was on Maude, not James. Two different people.

I have to disagree with you, GT/Maude and L&S/HD are not in the same spinoff category
